Battlefield 6 leads October on Game Pass. Xbox has added nine games so far this month, seven of them on their first day out, and two more are confirmed for the coming weeks. Here’s everything that’s new, what’s coming and what just left.
New on Game Pass in October 2026
All nine games are in Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass. Neon Abyss 2 is also in Game Pass Premium.
Oct. 8: Echo Weaver, Forever Ago and Neon Abyss 2. Echo Weaver is a metroidvania built around a time loop, where what you learn is your only upgrade. Forever Ago is a single-player road trip adventure in which you take photos and make friends on the way north. Both are day-one releases. Neon Abyss 2 is a roguelike action platformer set in a pixel-art cyberpunk world ruled by gods.
Oct. 13: Battlefield 6, Deep Dish Dungeon and Valor Mortis. Battlefield 6 comes through EA Play, which is included with Ultimate. Deep Dish Dungeon is a survival exploration game set in a hand-built dungeon with no map or quest markers, which you can play solo or with up to two friends online. Valor Mortis is a first-person action game in the style of the Souls series from the makers of Ghostrunner, in which you play a fallen soldier of Napoleon’s army. Both launched on Game Pass on day one.
Oct. 15: Bluey’s Happy Snaps and Chained Beasts. Bluey’s Happy Snaps is a photo adventure with Bluey and Bingo through places from the show, which you can play with a second player on the same screen. Chained Beasts is a co-op gladiator roguelike for up to four players, all chained to each other. Both are day-one releases.
Oct. 16: Beyond These Stars, on PC only. You build a city on the back of a space whale and manage supply chains as it travels through the stars. It’s also a day-one release.
From September’s second batch, Gears of War: E-Day and Minecraft Dungeons II are on the service too. All Game Pass plans also get an in-game bonus for Asphalt Legends: the Ford GT MKII, 250 tokens and 250,000 credits.
Coming soon to Game Pass
The Séance of Blake Manor arrives on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox on PC and Game Pass on Tuesday, Oct. 27, publisher Raw Fury says. It’s a supernatural detective game set in Ireland in 1897: a guest has disappeared from a remote manor two days before a séance, and you question the other guests to find out why. It came out on PC through Steam in October 2025.
Football Manager 27 follows on Tuesday, Nov. 10, the day it launches. Sports Interactive says it’s included with Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on PC and with Game Pass on Xbox consoles. Our Football Manager 27 release date page has the rest.
One big release isn’t coming to Game Pass at launch. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 comes out on Oct. 23 as a standalone game you have to buy, and Activision says it joins Game Pass in holiday 2027. Details are on our Modern Warfare 4 release date page.
Xbox hasn’t announced the second October batch yet. It posted the first on Oct. 7, and in September the second batch came on Sept. 15.
Games that left Game Pass on Oct. 15
Nine games left the library on Oct. 15: A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Nova Roma (Game Preview), Pacific Drive, Superball and The Casting of Frank Stone. Before they left, Xbox offered members a discount to buy them and keep playing.
Free Play Days this weekend
Separate from the library, Free Play Days let Ultimate, Premium and Essential members play some games for free for a few days. Through Sunday, Oct. 18, that’s Crusader Kings III, Bus Simulator 21 Next Stop, Soccer Story and Ravenswatch. NBA 2K27 Standard Edition joins on Friday, Oct. 16, at noon PT (3 p.m. ET) and stays until Sunday.
The Alters also has a free three-hour trial through Oct. 18, and you don’t need Game Pass for that one. For free games you can keep, see our list of free games this week.
Game Pass plans and prices
In the US, the Microsoft Store lists Game Pass Ultimate at $22.99 a month, Game Pass Premium at $14.99, Game Pass Essential at $9.99 and PC Game Pass at $13.99. Ultimate gets the new games on console, PC and in the cloud, along with EA Play. PC Game Pass gets them on PC, without cloud gaming.
