Xbox announced them in its Oct. 7 Game Pass post. Nine games left Game Pass on Oct. 15, and Xbox lists eight more as leaving soon, likely on Oct. 31. Here’s every game on both lists, what each one costs if you want to keep it and what happens to your saves.
Games leaving Game Pass soon
Xbox’s Game Pass site lists eight games under Leaving soon. Xbox hasn’t announced their date, and it hasn’t said which platforms each one leaves from. These are the games, with their Microsoft Store prices as of Oct. 19:
Deep Rock Galactic, the four-player co-op mining shooter from Ghost Ship Games, costs $29.99. Wartales, the open-world strategy RPG from Shiro Games, costs $39.99. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga from TT Games had no Microsoft Store price on Oct. 19; on Steam, it cost $7.49, 85% off its $49.99 list price.
Dead Static Drive, a road trip survival horror game, costs $26.49, and Wildgate, a crew-based space shooter, costs $9.99. The two LucasArts adventures, Day of the Tentacle Remastered and Full Throttle Remastered, cost $14.99 each. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris cost $1.99 on Oct. 19, down from $19.99.
When the next games leave
Xbox usually puts out two Game Pass posts a month. The first one names games leaving on the 15th, and the mid-month one names games leaving on the last day of the month. In 2026, the mid-month posts went up on May 19, Aug. 18 and Sept. 15, and they listed games leaving on May 31, Aug. 31 and Sept. 30.
That’s why we expect the eight games above to leave on Saturday, Oct. 31. It’s our estimate, not an Xbox date. Xbox’s second October post, expected around Tuesday, Oct. 20, should give the exact day, and it could add more names. Our new Game Pass games page tracks the additions from the same posts.
The 9 games that left on Oct. 15
Xbox announced the first October batch in its Oct. 7 Game Pass post, the one that also brought Battlefield 6, Valor Mortis and Gears of War: E-Day. Eight games left from cloud, console and PC on Thursday, Oct. 15: A Plague Tale: Requiem, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, Crime Scene Cleaner, Donut County, Evil West, Pacific Drive, Superball and The Casting of Frank Stone. A ninth, Nova Roma, left PC Game Pass, where it was a Game Preview.
The biggest name is Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, the turn-based RPG from Sandfall Interactive, which had been on Game Pass since its launch on April 24, 2025. On Steam, it cost $47.99 on Oct. 19, 20% off its $59.99 list price. A Plague Tale: Requiem cost $17.49 there, 75% off $69.99, and Pacific Drive cost $17.99, 60% off $44.99.
What happens to your saves and DLC
When a game leaves Game Pass, you can’t launch it anymore unless you buy it. According to Xbox’s Game Pass FAQ, your achievements, saves and game progress stay with your account as long as you were signed in to the Xbox network the last time you played. If you buy the game later, or it comes back to Game Pass, you pick up where you left off.
Games and DLC also stay installed until you delete them. DLC you bought keeps its rights, but you need to own the base game, digitally or on disc, to play it. Xbox’s posts point members to discounts on leaving games before they go, so check the store price in the Xbox app first. Our Game Pass price page explains what each tier costs.
What left Game Pass in September
Eight games left on Sept. 30: Atomfall, Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, Little Nightmares 2 Enhanced Edition, Little Rocket Lab, Sifu, SOPA Tale of the Stolen Potato, Sworn and Terminull Brigade. Xbox had announced them in its Sept. 15 post. Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris, on the October list, follows Guardian of Light out.
What’s coming next
Xbox’s Coming to Game Pass list names seven games: Escape Academy 2: Back 2 School, Hope in the City on Nov. 11, FreeStyle Football 2, Stranger Than Heaven, Persona 4 Revival, Fable and Wo Long 2. Football Manager 27 joins on Nov. 10. Our Game Pass November 2026 page has the dates for next month.
This page is updated as soon as Xbox dates the Leaving soon list or announces more games leaving Game Pass.
