Battlefield 6 DLC: every free map, the $24.99 Battlefield Pro and what the Game of the Year Edition adds

Battlefield 6’s maps and modes are free, and its paid DLC is Battlefield Pro, BFC bundles and the Game of the Year Edition. Here’s what EA has added for free, what each paid option includes and what’s next.

Does Battlefield 6 have DLC?

Yes, though not in the form of map packs. Battlefield 6 launched on Oct. 10, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X and S and PC, and every map and mode added since has been free to every owner. Over its first year, EA delivered four seasons of content, brought back fan favorites Railway to Golmud and Wake Island and introduced Naval Warfare.

What you pay for is progression and cosmetics: Battlefield Pro, bundles bought with BFC, the game’s currency, and the Game of the Year Edition, which packages the game with extras.

Every free map and mode

Season 4 began on July 21, 2026, with Naval Warfare and Tsuru Reef, a brand-new island map with luxury bungalows, a dormant volcano and open ocean. Squads take to the water in the agile 7.7m NSW RHIB speedboat or the heavily armored RCB-90 patrol boat, and Naval Warfare later reached Wake Island, which returned on Aug. 11, 2026.

Season 5, Siege of Vegas, started on Oct. 13, 2026, and marks the start of the game’s second year. It adds Vegas Strip, with fights through casinos, hotel pools and storm drains, and Area 51, where battles run across the base and the facility beneath it. REDSEC, the free battle royale, gets Rapid Royale, a shorter and more intense mode, and EA lists six new weapons, two new vehicles and a Halloween PvE event for the season.

What’s coming next

Two more free drops are on EA’s Season 5 roadmap. Casino Heist arrives on Nov. 10, 2026, with a limited-time event and the European Casino, an infantry map, and Frozen Aces follows on Dec. 8 with Platoons and a Server Browser.

For 2027, EA says it will keep delivering new content for Battlefield 6 and REDSEC. Its stated focus is more immersive vehicle gameplay, an expanded gunplay system with an improved firing range, a balance review of gadget and vehicle explosives and a look at bolt-action sniper rifles. EA hasn’t announced campaign DLC. Expected price for a campaign expansion: about $19.99, our estimate.

Battlefield Pro

Battlefield Pro is EA’s top Battle Pass offer, at $24.99 for Season 5 on Steam. It includes the full Season 5 Battle Pass, which has more than 100 tiers, 25 Tier Skips, a +5% XP Booster, a Vehicle Radio Station, special Assignments, extra Challenge rerolls, Portal hosting for up to 100 players and an exclusive bonus path.

It also unlocks six cosmetics on the spot, including the Smolder NATO Assault skin, the Rampant Raze Pax Armata Recon skin, the Spark Drift helicopter skin and the Fire Craft weapon package for the VCR-2.

The Game of the Year Edition

The Game of the Year Edition arrived on Oct. 13, 2026, at $99.99 on Steam. It adds a Battlefield Pro token you can redeem in any season, the Ultimate Shortcut Kit, with shortcut kits for all four classes, the Mortal Shriek dog tag and a title, the Trusted Reserve Pax Armata skin and The Phantom Pack, with four soldier skins, two weapon packages and Career and Hardware XP boosts.

Prices and the free trial

In the Steam sale running until Oct. 20, 2026, the standard edition costs $27.99, 60% off its $69.99 price, and the Game of the Year Edition costs $59.99. BFC runs from 500 for $4.99 to 13,000 for $99.99. These were the Steam prices on Oct. 19, 2026.

The free trial on Steam, with every available map and mode, runs until Oct. 20 at 1 p.m. ET, after EA extended it because of first-day problems, and 2x XP lasts until the same time.
