About Pogwire

Games, esports and the money behind them — on every device you play on.

Pogwire is an independent games newsroom for players in the United States and everywhere English is spoken. We cover what is coming out, what is worth your money, who is winning and who is paying for it.

What we cover

  • ReleasesAnnouncements, release dates, trailers and previews for PC, PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo, mobile, handhelds, VR and cloud.
  • EsportsTournaments, schedules, results, prize pools and the teams behind them.
  • MoneySponsorship, brand deals, earnings, prices, subscriptions and how gaming pays players, creators and studios.
  • ReviewsPlayer verdicts — what you get, what it costs and which device runs it best.
  • Game devStudios, engines, tools, jobs and how games get made.
  • GearConsoles, gaming PCs, handhelds, VR headsets, phones and accessories.

Every story is tagged by device, so you can read only about the hardware you own: pick it once in the device bar and Pogwire remembers.

The newsroom

Stories are published under the Pogwire newsroom byline. Facts come from the people who make the news: publishers, developers, platform holders, tournament organizers, company filings and official stores. When something is a rumor, we say so plainly and say who has not confirmed it.

Independence

Pogwire is not owned by, or affiliated with, any publisher, platform holder, team or tournament organizer. Partners never review or approve stories before publication. Sponsored content, when we run it, is labeled as such on the card and at the top of the page.
