Copyright
Images and videos on Pogwire belong to their owners. Here is how we use them and how to reach us about one.
What we show
Official press images, screenshots and product photos that publishers and device makers release for news coverage. Each one sits in a story about that game or device, with its owner named under the picture — for example “Image: Rockstar Games” or “Courtesy of 1X”. The full list, story by story, is on Photo credits.
Trailers are embedded from the owner’s own channel and play there. We keep a copy of the video’s poster frame so nothing loads from the video host before you press play.
Pictures credited “Illustration: © Pogwire” are drawn for Pogwire and belong to Pogwire. They show general scenes only — never real people, game characters or company logos — and are never presented as photos or screenshots. Like our stories, they may be republished with a link to the original story: see Terms of use.
Information about who owns a picture stays inside the file.
A different credit or removal
Write to [email protected] with “Copyright” in the subject and:
- the page address and which image or video;
- who owns it, and your connection to the owner;
- what you would like: a different credit, a different picture, or removal.
We reply within two business days. If you ask, the image comes down while we check.
Formal notices
A formal notice under U.S. copyright law (17 U.S.C. § 512) goes to the same address. Include your physical or typed signature, the work, the page address, your contact details, a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized, and a statement that the notice is accurate and that you act for the owner.
