What you get with Remake Intergrade
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade retells the original 1997 story up to the escape from Midgar. Cloud Strife, an ex-SOLDIER turned mercenary, joins the Avalanche resistance against the Shinra Electric Power Company, which drains Mako, the planet’s lifeblood, to power its reactors. Combat mixes real-time action with command-based abilities: you attack freely, then slow the action to a crawl to cast magic, use items and give teammates orders.

Intergrade adds FF7R Episode INTERmission, a side story starring Yuffie Kisaragi, a young ninja from Wutai who sneaks into Midgar to steal Shinra’s ultimate materia. Every copy also comes with the Cacstar weapon for Yuffie’s episode, three armor pieces, three accessories and the Carbuncle, Chocobo Chick and Cactuar summon materia, claimed from the Gift Box in the main menu.

Buying it instead
The Microsoft Store sells Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade for $39.99, the same as on Steam, and the Digital Deluxe Edition for $59.99. Game Pass members get 20% off either one: $31.99 for the standard edition and $47.99 for the Deluxe. The Deluxe version adds a digital art book and a digital mini soundtrack, while the bonus weapon, armor, accessories and summon materia come with both editions. Game Pass gets the standard edition.

A free demo with the first chapter, the Mako Reactor bombing mission, is on the Microsoft Store too. A demo save carries over and unlocks the Revival Earrings and Survival Set in the full game, unless you already have a save in the full game. If you play through Game Pass and buy later, your saves and achievements stay with your Xbox account.
What about Rebirth and the third part?
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, the second part, isn’t on Game Pass. It came to Xbox Series X and S and the Microsoft Store on PC on June 3, 2026, and sells for $49.99 there. Your Remake Intergrade save unlocks the Leviathan summon in Rebirth, and an INTERmission save unlocks Ramuh.

The final part, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, comes out on April 8, 2027, on Xbox Series X and S, PS5, Switch 2 and PC. Our FF7 Remake Part 3 release date page has the details, and the Switch 2 version of the first part is on our FF7 Remake on Switch 2 page.
This page is updated as soon as Xbox announces Rebirth for Game Pass, changes the member discount or sets a date for Remake Intergrade to leave the library.
