All 19 teams at Worlds 2026

The LCK has a fourth team because Hanwha Life Esports won MSI 2026, and the LPL has a fourth because its Bilibili Gaming finished second there. Brazil got a second slot from Riot this year, bringing the field to 19.

Play-In Stage: one ticket to the Swiss Stage

Four teams play a double-elimination bracket of best-of-five series at Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles: Cloud9 Kia and Karmine Corp, FURIA and MVK Esports. Matchups came from a fully random draw. A team has to lose twice to go home, and only one team advances to the Swiss Stage.

Swiss Stage: three wins to advance, three losses to go home

Sixteen teams, the 15 that qualified directly plus the Play-In winner, play up to five rounds in Allen, Texas. Three match wins sends a team to the quarterfinals; three losses eliminates it. Eight teams advance.

For Round 1, Riot split the field into four draw tiers. Tier 1 teams face Tier 4 teams, Tier 2 faces Tier 3, and teams from the same league cannot meet in Round 1:

From Round 2, teams with the same record play each other, never the same opponent twice, and same-league matchups are allowed. Draws for later rounds take place on Oct. 23, 24, 26 and 30.

Knockout Stage and the final in Brooklyn

The quarterfinal draw takes place on Oct. 31. The two teams that go 3-0 in the Swiss Stage are drawn against two of the 3-2 teams; the other four are paired at random. Every knockout series is best-of-five. Quarterfinals and semifinals stay in Allen, and the last two teams go to Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Nov. 14.

Results

The Play-In Stage starts on Oct. 15. Results will appear here after each match day, along with the Swiss Stage draws and the knockout bracket.
