How many Worlds has Faker won? Six, in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2023, 2024 and 2025

Faker has won Worlds six times, and Worlds 2026 is the shot at a seventh. Here’s every title, the final that got away and when T1 plays in Texas.

How many Worlds has Faker won?

Six. Lee “Faker” Sang-hyeok, T1’s mid laner, won the League of Legends World Championship in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2023, 2024 and 2025. All six came with the same organization, called SKT T1 for the first three and T1 for the last three.

Riot counted four world titles when it named Faker the first member of its Hall of Legends in 2024. T1 then won Worlds 2024 in London and Worlds 2025 in Chengdu, and Riot calls the team League’s first three-peat world champions. Riot’s own Worlds 2026 anthem announcement describes Faker as the most iconic pro in LoL Esports history.

The SKT T1 years: 2013, 2015 and 2016

Faker won a world championship in the first year as a pro, 2013, with SKT T1 K. Riot still honors that roster in the game: Worlds 2026 brings Elite Worlds Winner chromas for the 2013 SKT T1 K championship skins.

That title opened a run of five straight Korean wins at Worlds, split between Faker’s SKT and Samsung. Samsung White won in Seoul in 2014, SKT took the titles in 2015 and 2016, and Samsung Galaxy won at the Bird’s Nest in Beijing in 2017. In 2018, with Worlds back in Korea, no Korean team reached the semifinals.

The three-peat: 2023, 2024 and 2025

The fourth title came at home. Worlds 2023 ended at the Gocheok Sky Dome in Seoul, where T1 got past JDG in the semifinals and beat an LPL team in the final, seven years after the 2016 win.

In 2024, T1 beat Bilibili Gaming in the final at The O2 in London on Nov. 2, according to Riot’s final standings. That was Faker’s fifth title. In 2025, T1 beat KT Rolster 3-2 in the final in Chengdu, China, on Nov. 9, for a sixth. Riot opened the 2026 season by calling it a historic third consecutive World Championship.

Riot made a skin set for the 2025 champions: T1 Ambessa, Xin Zhao, Galio, Yunara, Seraphine and MVP T1 Miss Fortune, which arrived on July 15, 2026, as our Worlds 2026 skins page explains.

The 2022 final Faker lost

Faker’s record in finals isn’t perfect. In 2022, T1 met DRX in the final at Chase Center in San Francisco, in front of a sold-out crowd. The series went to a fifth game at 2-2, and DRX won it.

The winner was Deft, who went to the same high school as Faker and had never won Worlds before. T1 answered the next season by starting its three-peat.

Hall of Legends, MSI and LCK titles

Riot made Faker the first inductee to its Hall of Legends in 2024, citing 10 LCK titles, two Mid-Season Invitational titles and four World Championship titles at the time. Players are chosen by an independent voting panel of esports veterans from every region, and each inductee gets a trophy and a share of the revenue from the event pass and bundles.

The induction came with three skins built around Faker’s career: Immortalized Legend Ahri, Risen Legend Ahri and Risen Legend LeBlanc, released on June 12, 2024, with Patch 14.12. Uzi became the second inductee, and Caps joined in 2026 as the first Western pro in the Hall of Legends.

Can Faker win a seventh Worlds title?

Yes, at Worlds 2026. T1 arrives as the three-time defending champion and opens the Swiss Stage against LOS on Friday, Oct. 23, at 6 p.m. ET at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas. The Swiss Stage runs through Oct. 31: three wins send a team to the quarterfinals and three losses send it home, as our Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage page explains.

The Knockout Stage runs from Nov. 3 to Nov. 14, and the Grand Final is at Barclays Center in Brooklyn on Nov. 14. Our Worlds 2026 schedule and results page tracks every T1 match, and our Worlds 2026 Pick’Ems page covers Riot’s prediction game. A seventh title would send T1 to Worlds 2027 in South Korea as the four-time defending champion.

Know My Name: the Worlds 2026 anthem about Faker

Riot built the Worlds 2026 anthem around Faker. True Damage, Riot’s virtual hip-hop group, performs Know My Name, and the music video follows Faker’s path to T1’s three-peat, from defeats to new heights. It premiered on Oct. 8, 2026, at 9 p.m. ET. It’s the 13th Worlds anthem and the first performed by one of Riot’s virtual artists, and True Damage plays it live at the Grand Final opening ceremony in Brooklyn.

The game side of the anthem is True Damage Know My Name Yasuo, a revenue share skin, and fans who want Faker’s name on a shirt can check our T1 Worlds 2026 jersey page, though the Faker version was sold out on Oct. 19.

This page is updated as soon as T1 finishes each stage of Worlds 2026.
