How teams reach Brooklyn
The last Play-In series, Karmine Corp vs. MVK Esports, is on Oct. 18 at 2 p.m. ET, and the winner joins 15 directly qualified teams in the Swiss Stage. In Allen, those 16 teams play from Oct. 23 to 26 and Oct. 28 to 31: three wins sends a team to the quarterfinals, and three losses sends it home. The quarterfinal draw follows on Oct. 31. Our Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage page has the draw tiers and times.
The quarterfinals run one series a day from Nov. 3 through Nov. 6, and the semifinals follow on Nov. 7 and 8, all at 5 p.m. ET. Every knockout series is best-of-five. T1 won the last three World Championships, in 2023, 2024 and 2025, when it beat KT Rolster 3-2 in the final, and Hanwha Life Esports won MSI 2026 by beating Bilibili Gaming 3-2.
