Star Wars Outlaws on Switch 2: the $59.99 Gold Edition with both story packs, aiming for up to 30 fps

Star Wars Outlaws fits on Nintendo’s console with all of its add-ons included, and Ubisoft aimed for up to 30 fps. Here’s what the Switch 2 version costs, includes and plays like.

When did Star Wars Outlaws come out on Switch 2?

On Sept. 4, 2025. Ubisoft had released the game on PS5, Xbox Series X and S and PC on Aug. 30, 2024. On Switch 2 it’s an open-world Star Wars adventure built around Kay Vess, a young scoundrel, and Nix, a small creature companion, taking jobs from the galaxy’s crime syndicates. It’s rated T for Teen by the ESRB.

The Switch 2 version also includes the gameplay improvements from Title Update 1.6 on other platforms, like switching between a two-handed weapon and the blaster and shooting freely from the speeder.

What’s in the Gold Edition?

It’s the only edition on Switch 2, and Nintendo’s US eShop sells it for $59.99, with no discount when we checked on Oct. 17, 2026. It includes the base game and the Season Pass: the Wild Card and A Pirate’s Fortune story packs, the Jabba’s Gambit mission, the Kessel Runner character pack, and the Hunter’s Legacy and Cartel Ronin bundles. The Ultimate pack is sold separately in Nintendo’s store.

The physical version is a Nintendo Game-Key Card. Ubisoft says it downloads and installs the game over the internet, and the card has to be in the console when you play. Nintendo’s store data puts the game at about 19.4 GB.

How does it run on Switch 2?

Ubisoft says the team did a lot of optimization work with a goal of up to 30 fps across the game in both TV and handheld modes. It hasn’t listed a resolution.

The Switch 2 version adds touch controls for menus and some minigames, gyro-assisted aiming and motion controls for key features, plus an optimized handheld mode. Ubisoft’s third Switch 2 title update, released on Oct. 21, 2025, improved texture quality and stability, fixed low-resolution textures after long play sessions and fixed several story quest bugs.

Can you carry your save over?

Yes. Ubisoft says cross-progression works across all platforms through a Ubisoft Connect account, so you can continue a PS5, Xbox or PC save on Switch 2. Cloud backup through Nintendo’s own Save Data Cloud needs a Nintendo Switch Online membership.
