Indiana Jones and the Great Circle’s DLC, The Order of Giants, came out on Sept. 4, 2025, and costs $19.99. Here’s what it adds, how to start it and where a second DLC stands.
When did the Indiana Jones DLC come out?
The Order of Giants launched on Sept. 4, 2025, at 11 a.m. ET, on Xbox Series X and S, PS5 and PC. MachineGames revealed it on June 8, 2025, with the date already set, and Update 5, which made the game compatible with the DLC, went out the same day it launched.
The game itself came out on Dec. 9, 2024, on Xbox Series X and S and PC, reached PS5 in April 2025 and arrived on Switch 2 on May 12, 2026, with The Order of Giants available on Nintendo’s console from day one.
What The Order of Giants adds
The DLC is an all-new story chapter. A young priest, Father Ricci, asks Indy for help tracking down a Roman artifact, and the treasure hunt turns into a fight against the plots of Emperor Nero, the gladiator games, the centuries-old Cult of Mithras and the dark legacy of the Nephilim giants.
It takes Indy beyond the walls of Vatican City into a brand-new open-area map of Rome, from the crumbling ruins of the Colosseum to the Vatican Gardens. The story also runs through the ancient Cloaca Maxima sewers, the crypts below the city and along the Tiber by boat, with new puzzles designed by emperors and tougher enemies in the cult’s dark red robes.
How to start The Order of Giants
The DLC opens in the Vatican. Reach the Bring the Parchment to Antonio objective in The Stolen Cat Mummy mission, and a new Fieldwork, A Mystery Begins, appears in your Journal. Then find Father Ricci outside the west side of the Belvedere Courtyard, just south of the Blackshirt barracks.
If you’ve already left the Vatican or finished the game, return through the Travels tab in your Journal and meet Father Ricci there.
Price and editions
The Order of Giants costs $19.99 on Steam. The Premium Edition at $99.99 includes the base game, the DLC, a digital artbook and the Temple of Doom outfit, and the Digital Premium Upgrade at $34.99 adds the same three to a standard copy. The standard edition costs $69.99. These were the Steam prices on Oct. 19, 2026. The Collector’s Edition and Collector’s Bundle also include the DLC.
The game is on Game Pass, and The Order of Giants is a separate purchase for members. On Switch 2, the game and the DLC cost $69.99 and $19.99, as our Indiana Jones on Switch 2 page explains.
Free updates since the DLC
MachineGames kept adding free content after The Order of Giants. Update 5 on Sept. 4, 2025, added a Very Light difficulty for players who want the exploration and puzzles without hard combat. The Anniversary Update on Oct. 10, 2025, brought New Game+, which carries over your Adventure Books, unspent Adventure Points, local currency and Medicine Bottles and unlocks a new ending sequence after the credits, plus a free Cairo outfit and Voice Language Select for mixing any of the nine voice languages with any of the 14 text languages.
Update 7 on Dec. 9, 2025, the game’s first anniversary, added the Pankot Palace outfit, and Update 8 on May 12, 2026, added the Shanghai Club outfit for every player, along with mouse controls and Polish text on Switch 2. A hotfix followed on June 11, 2026. By its first anniversary, the game had earned more than 90 awards.
Is a second Indiana Jones DLC coming?
MachineGames hasn’t announced a second DLC. The Order of Giants is the story DLC the Premium Edition promised, and since then the studio’s announcements have covered free updates and the Switch 2 launch. Expected price for a second story DLC: about $19.99, our estimate, the price of the first. For another Bethesda game’s expansion, see our DOOM: The Dark Ages DLC page, and for a 2025 RPG with paid DLC, our Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 DLC page.
This page is updated as soon as MachineGames announces new Indiana Jones and the Great Circle DLC or a major update.
