What Star Wars Eclipse is about
Star Wars Eclipse is an action-adventure game with a branching story, and it’s the first video game set in the High Republic era, the golden age of the Jedi. You play as several characters, each with their own story and abilities, in an uncharted part of the Outer Rim.
Choices drive the game. Decisions can change relationships, the places you visit, the battles you fight and the fate of the characters themselves, and you can push the Outer Rim toward war, toward peace or somewhere in between. Quantic Dream says no two playthroughs will be the same.
What to watch for
Quantic Dream first showed the game at The Game Awards, and this year’s show is on Thursday, Dec. 10, as our Game Awards 2026 page explains. Nobody has promised Star Wars Eclipse will be there. Until Quantic Dream or Lucasfilm Games shares a window, any date you see is guesswork.
