Shift Up’s action game lands on Nintendo’s console with every add-on and a real cartridge. Here’s when Stellar Blade comes out on Switch 2, what it costs and what you get.
When does Stellar Blade come out on Switch 2?
On Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026. Shift Up says the Switch 2 version launches worldwide at the same moment, midnight on Nov. 6 in Korea, which is 10 a.m. ET on Nov. 5. That’s the same day as The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time on Switch 2.

The Switch 2 version was revealed in a Nintendo Direct on June 9, 2026, and Shift Up gave the release date on Sept. 10, when pre-orders opened. It was first playable in public at Tokyo Game Show, from Sept. 17 to 21. Stellar Blade came out on PS5 in 2024 and later on PC, where Shift Up says it sold more than 1 million copies in its first three days.
How much is it, and what’s in the Complete Edition?
Nintendo’s US eShop sells Stellar Blade Complete Edition for $59.99, the same as Stellar Blade on Steam, and it’s the only edition the store lists. It includes the base game and the NieR:Automata and Goddess of Victory: Nikke collaboration DLCs, though some of that content unlocks only after you progress through the main story.

The edition also adds its own bonuses: Stargazer outfits for EVE, Adam and Lily, the Underrim Glasses and Quadruple Square Earrings for EVE, a Stargazer Pack for the Drone, 2,000 SP and 5,000 Gold. On top of that, Shift Up is adding four Bayonetta collaboration outfits for EVE, free on Switch 2, PS5 and PC from launch, and it has shown three of them so far.
Is there a physical edition, and what are the pre-order bonuses?
Yes, and it’s a full cartridge. Shift Up says the physical Switch 2 edition holds all of the game data on the card, with no Game-Key Card or extra download. It also announced a limited steelbook with new key art in a metallic finish, sold in limited quantities through select retailers, though its announcement doesn’t name US stores.
If you pre-order, you get three cosmetic items for EVE at launch: the Classic Round Glasses, the Ear Armor Earrings and the Planet Diving Suit (White Edition). Nintendo’s store says the bonuses apply to purchases made by 11:59 p.m. Japan time on Nov. 5, which is 9:59 a.m. ET that day.
How does it run on Switch 2?
Shift Up hasn’t published frame rate or resolution figures. It says the game was optimized for Switch 2’s hardware and supports Joy-Con 2 motion controls, and Nintendo’s store lists touch screen support and HDR output on compatible TVs. It plays in TV, tabletop and handheld modes, and cloud saves need a Nintendo Switch Online membership.

The download is about 25.3 GB, according to Nintendo’s store data. The game is rated M for Mature by the ESRB, for blood and gore, language, suggestive themes and violence, and it supports 17 languages, including English, Spanish, French, Korean and Japanese. A free demo is already on the eShop.
