Shift Up hasn’t announced a release date or window for Stellar Blade: Blood Rain. In its second-quarter earnings Q&A on Aug. 11, 2026, the studio said development was progressing smoothly at the quality level it’s aiming for, and that it will release information about the game in stages while taking enough development time to deliver the highest level of polish.
When Shift Up revealed the game in June, it said the platforms and schedule would be announced later, and its general director, Kim Hyung-tae, called the project early in development.

Shift Up revealed the official title and a new trailer at Summer Game Fest 2026, which opened in Los Angeles on June 5, 2026. The trailer runs 3 minutes and 30 seconds and is made of in-game footage. Shift Up says it was one of the most-watched trailers of the show by the end of July.

Blood Rain is the first Stellar Blade game Shift Up publishes itself. The first game came out on PS5 on April 26, 2024, and on PC on June 11, 2025, both under PlayStation Publishing.
