Witchbrook launches on Jan. 28, 2027, and Chucklefish attached a price to the date: $24.99. Here’s what each store lists, what co-op needs and what stays open.

When does Witchbrook come out?

Jan. 28, 2027, on every platform at once. Chucklefish announced the date on Oct. 28, alongside Nintendo’s Indie World Showcase. Chucklefish thanked players for their patience while it took “the additional time to make a game we’re truly proud of.”

PlayStation’s store lists 12 p.m. UTC, which is 7 a.m. ET. Steam and Nintendo list the day with no hour, and Microsoft’s store entry has no date set yet. Our next Nintendo Direct page tracks Nintendo’s following showcase.

Which platforms is Witchbrook on?

PS5 is the new name on that list. Chucklefish announced it as a day-one version and credits porting partner PlayEveryWare. Chucklefish’s press release says PC rather than naming Steam, and Microsoft’s entry also covers Windows PCs. Steam lists no Mac or Linux version, and its minimum PC is Windows 10 in 64-bit, a quad-core processor, 8 GB of memory and a DirectX 11 graphics card with 4 GB of video memory.

Nintendo has separate Switch and Switch 2 listings, and its page for the original Switch version marks Switch 2 compatibility as untested. Chucklefish hasn’t described an upgrade path between them.

How much does Witchbrook cost?

$24.99 at launch, according to Chucklefish, with other regional prices shared closer to launch. Steam, Nintendo and PlayStation hadn’t put that figure on their own pages by Nov. 1.

Physical copies come later. Chucklefish says a Standard edition and a Collector’s Edition are in the works and will arrive a little while after the digital release. A formal announcement will cover platforms and special editions, and it hasn’t given a price or date.

Is Witchbrook on Game Pass?

From day one, according to Chucklefish. Its Oct. 28 press release puts Witchbrook on Xbox Game Pass at launch, and it has made the same promise since 2025. Neither Chucklefish nor Microsoft has named the tiers. Microsoft hadn’t added the game to its own Game Pass lists by Nov. 1, and its store entry has no date yet.

Does Witchbrook have co-op?

Online co-op, for up to four players. You play alone or bring up to three friends, according to the official site. Nintendo’s listing needs a paid Switch Online membership for online play, and PlayStation’s needs PS Plus. Neither store lists local co-op. Microsoft’s Xbox listing shows cross-platform co-op and multiplayer, and Chucklefish hasn’t said which platforms can play together.

What kind of game is Witchbrook?

Chucklefish calls it a life sim and social RPG, developed with Robotality. You’re a new student at Witchbrook College in Mossport, a seaside town you cross on your broom. Between classes and exams you run deliveries, fix up a cottage, make friends and date your covenmates.

The release trailer adds spellcasting, potion-making, tarot and a knowledge system for studying. Witchbrook launches in English, French, German, Spanish, Brazilian Portuguese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese.

This page is updated as soon as Microsoft lists Witchbrook for Game Pass, stores open pre-orders or the physical editions get a date.
