At 10:33 a.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, 76,672 players were in Battlefield 6 on Steam, according to Valve’s most-played chart, which ranked it 24th of all games on Steam. Its peak over the previous 24 hours was 76,774 players.
On Steam, the free REDSEC battle royale runs through the same Battlefield 6 app, so those numbers include REDSEC players along with Multiplayer and Portal. They also include anyone on EA’s Full Game Trial, which opened on Steam on Oct. 15. For comparison, our ARC Raiders player count page has another big shooter’s Steam numbers from the same morning.
Battlefield 6 player count on PS5, Xbox and Game Pass
There’s no public number. Sony and Microsoft don’t publish player counts for single games, and EA doesn’t split its figures by platform. PC players on the EA app aren’t in Valve’s count either.
Battlefield 6 also joined Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass through EA Play on Oct. 13, 2026, the day Season 5 launched, which adds players on Xbox and PC that Steam doesn’t see. Our new on Game Pass page has the rest of October’s additions.
Battlefield 6 peak player count
EA hasn’t given one. After the launch weekend in October 2025, it said Battlefield 6 had the most concurrent players for Battlefield ever, along with more than 7 million copies sold in three days, more than 172 million matches played online and over 15 million hours watched on streaming services. Valve’s chart only shows the peak over the last 24 hours, not all-time records.
Battlefield 6 in numbers since launch
EA’s holiday wrap-up on Dec. 19, 2025, said players had logged more than 1.7 billion matches and 383.5 million hours of play across Battlefield 6 and REDSEC, with 12.4 billion kills and 871 million revives. Engineer was the most-deployed class across all modes, at 28%, ahead of Support at 27%, Assault at 26% and Recon at 19%.
In its July 15, 2026, update, EA said Battlefield 6 had grown to 15 multiplayer maps from 9 at launch, with 58 weapons. Railway to Golmud became the most-played map of Season 3, with more than 16 million hours, nearly two and a half times the next map, Contaminated.
Battlefield 6 free trial and sale
EA’s Full Game Trial gives every available map and mode for free. EA extended it on Steam until Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m. ET, after the trial didn’t work for every player on its first day, and the double XP weekend runs until then too. On PlayStation, the trial runs Oct. 15 to 19, and EA says trial periods may vary by platform.
