ARC Raiders player count: about 120,000 on Steam on Oct. 18, after a record 960,000 across platforms in January

ARC Raiders is nearly a year old and still in Steam’s top 20. Here’s how many people play it, what the record is and whether the numbers are falling.

How many people play ARC Raiders?

At 10:03 a.m. ET on Sunday, Oct. 18, 2026, 120,517 players were in ARC Raiders on Steam, according to Valve’s most-played chart, which ranked it 11th of all games on Steam. Its peak over the previous 24 hours was 156,983 players.

ARC Raiders player count on PS5 and Xbox

There’s no public number. Sony and Microsoft don’t publish player counts for single games, and Nexon, the owner of Embark Studios, reports totals across PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X and S without splitting them by platform. So the Steam count shows only part of the player base.

The last overall figures came from Nexon in February 2026: about six million weekly active players, a number it said the game had sustained since launch. Nexon hasn’t updated that figure in its later earnings letters.

ARC Raiders peak player count

The record is 960,000 concurrent players across platforms, set in January 2026, ten weeks after the game launched on Oct. 30, 2025, according to Nexon. On launch day, ARC Raiders drew 250,000 concurrent players on Steam, and it passed 700,000 across platforms within its first two weeks.

Nexon has also given the game’s sales along the way: more than 10 million copies in under two months, 12.4 million by mid-January, 14 million by February, 15.5 million by March 31 and more than 16.3 million by June 30, 2026. It reported that ARC Raiders had generated more than ¥88 billion in revenue since launch, about $557 million at 158 yen to the dollar on Oct. 18, 2026.

Is the ARC Raiders player count dropping?

On Steam, yes, compared with launch. The 24-hour peak of 156,983 on Oct. 18 was about 37% below the 250,000 players of launch day. Nexon said in August that sales momentum was normalizing more than nine months after launch, with 800,000 copies sold between April and June.

Embark’s answer was Frozen Trail, its biggest update, which arrived on Oct. 8 with the new Pendola Pass map, the Bully, Skulker and Hydra enemies and two new weapons. Nexon described it as built to re-engage active and lapsed players. ARC Raiders was also free to play on Steam, Xbox and PS5 from Oct. 8 to Oct. 12, and Embark’s Oct. 8 post put it at half price on every platform.

Nexon reports its third-quarter results on Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2026, at 1:30 a.m. ET, the next chance for official sales and player figures that include the Frozen Trail period.
