Alien: Isolation 2 release date: not announced yet, and it's coming to PS5, Xbox, PC and Switch 2

Creative Assembly’s Alien sequel is officially on the way, but there’s no date to circle yet. Here’s what’s confirmed.

When does Alien: Isolation 2 come out?

SEGA hasn’t said, not even a year. Creative Assembly revealed the game at Summer Game Fest in June 2026 with a trailer called Last Chance, and SEGA’s product information lists both the release date and the price as TBD. In SEGA SAMMY’s earnings presentation of Aug. 7, 2026, it’s still release date TBD, outside the games SEGA has scheduled through March 2027.

The store pages on Steam, the PlayStation Store and the Microsoft Store say it’s coming soon, and you can wishlist it there, but pre-orders aren’t open.

Which platforms is Alien: Isolation 2 on?

PS5, Xbox Series X and S, PC through Steam and Nintendo Switch 2. Wishlists are open everywhere except Nintendo, whose store page SEGA says will come later.

It’s a single-player game. SEGA hasn’t announced multiplayer, a demo or a test.

What is Alien: Isolation 2 about?

It’s set on a remote, storm-ravaged colony planet, where a survey team finds a crashed ship and unleashes the Xenomorph on the settlement. You play Blake, a new protagonist who works for Weyland-Yutani, months after the events of the first game. Most of it takes place in and around Kurosaki Station, a Weyland-Yutani outpost with tight interiors and open, muddy ground outside.

Weather is a big change. Storms and rain cut visibility on the surface, the Alien learns and adapts both indoors and outdoors, and you’ll improvise new tools and tactics to distract it and escape.

Who’s making it

Creative Assembly’s survival team is behind it, with Al Hope, the creative director, leading the sequel more than a decade after the original. Alien: Isolation came out in October 2014 and costs $39.99 on Steam. Creative Assembly is also making Total War: Warhammer 40,000, which doesn’t have a date either.
