Garmin Edge 1060 price: $799.99, what its voice commands do and what changed from the Edge 1050

The Garmin Edge 1060 costs $799.99 in the US, $100 more than the Edge 1050 at $699.99. Garmin announced its new premium cycling computer on Oct. 20, 2026, and its store lists it in stock, ready to ship in 1 to 3 business days. The headline change is hands-free voice control: a built-in microphone and speaker let you say "Okay, Garmin" to read out ride stats, start a route, find a coffee shop or report a pothole. The Edge 1060 also exchanges voice messages through the Garmin Messenger app, adds route options and previews, alerts for road closures reported by other cyclists, reverse charging and extra buttons for gloves and bad weather. It's 19 g lighter and shorter than the Edge 1050, with the same 3.5-inch, 480 x 800 touchscreen and up to 20 hours of battery in demanding use, 60 hours in battery saver mode.

Garmin’s new top cycling computer listens: the Edge 1060 takes voice commands, and it costs $100 more than the Edge 1050. Here’s the price, what voice control does and what else changed.

How much is the Garmin Edge 1060?

$799.99 in the US. Garmin announced the Edge 1060 on Oct. 20, 2026, made it available the same day, and lists it in stock on its US store, ready to ship in 1 to 3 business days.

Garmin still sells the Edge 1050 at its $699.99 list price, so the voice-enabled model sits $100 above it.

What do the voice commands do?

Say “Okay, Garmin” and the Edge 1060 listens through its built-in microphone. Garmin’s own examples: report a pothole, route you to the closest coffee shop, or read out your heart rate. The Edge then changes screens, reads stats aloud through the speaker, suggests routes and logs road hazards, so your hands stay on the bars.

With the Garmin Messenger app and a connected phone, you also send voice messages from the Edge and hear replies through the speaker, along with navigation and workout prompts. The same speaker plays a digital bike bell for other riders. Garmin says voice control works in select languages, and performance depends on riding conditions.

Training and group rides

Some of these features need a compatible heart rate monitor, power meter or both. TrainingPeaks workouts sync automatically. Paired with a compatible Garmin watch or the CIRQA Smart Band, it adds off-the-bike recovery and health stats.

GroupRide detection lets you join a nearby GroupRide when the Edge detects an active session, with in-ride messaging, live locations, incident detection alerts and in-ride competitions; GroupRide needs a paired phone with the Garmin Connect app. The workout screen is interactive, and the home screen lets you pick which apps and widgets come first.

Specs and battery

The Edge 1060 has a 3.5-inch color touchscreen at 480 x 800 pixels, 64 GB of storage, multi-band GNSS, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and ANT+, and an IPX7 rating.
