Bambu Lab's H3C tool changer puts nine tools in one 3D printer, and the reveal is set for Nov. 3
Bambu Lab's next 3D printer is the H3C, a tool changer that the company says holds nine tools in one machine. Bambu set the reveal for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, at 9 a.m. ET, in a teaser video and a forum announcement posted on Oct. 23. The teaser shows a row of nine numbered tool docks, each fed by its own filament tube, above the build plate. Follow-up teasers show a retractable tool rack, single prints that mix soft and rigid materials, and hardened tools. Bambu hasn't shared full specs, a price or a ship date. Expected price: $2,799 with an AMS filament unit, our estimate, above the H2C AMS Combo, the current top of Bambu's consumer lineup, which lists at $2,199 and costs $1,899 in Bambu's Black Friday sale until 2 a.m. ET on Dec. 1.

Bambu Lab is about to show a 3D printer built around swapping tools. Here’s the reveal date, what the teaser shows and what we expect the H3C to cost.
When is the Bambu Lab H3C reveal?
Bambu Lab set the H3C reveal for Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2026, at 9 a.m. ET. The company announced the date on Friday, Oct. 23, in an 11-second teaser video on its YouTube channel and in a post from its official account in the Announcements section of its forum.

Bambu’s own pitch is short: “Nine tools, built into one printer.” The teaser promises a new swapping technology, and the H3C banner on Bambu’s US store calls the machine a tool changer. Bambu hasn’t said whether orders open at the reveal or when units ship.

What the teasers show. The official art shows the front of a dark printer with a row of nine numbered tool docks across the top of the chamber. Each dock has its own white LED, and nine filament tubes in rainbow colors arc down into them. A build plate sits below.
That layout points to a printer that parks complete tools and picks them up as a print needs them, rather than pushing every filament through one nozzle. Bambu hasn’t confirmed the mechanism.
Four follow-up teasers fill in more. On Oct. 26, Bambu showed a trail shoe printed in one build from ultra-soft TPU 75A and TPU 90A. On Oct. 28, a 12-second video promised a retractable tool rack and a full view of the print as it builds. On Oct. 29, a watch printed in one job carried labels for 0.2 mm and 0.4 mm nozzles and for both 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm filament, mixing fine detail and speed in one print. On Oct. 30, Bambu said all of the tools are hardened to HRC 55+, a hardness grade. Its store also lists TPU 75A in 2.85 mm as compatible only with the H3C, on sale from 8:45 a.m. ET on Nov. 3, which confirms the thicker filament.
How much will the H3C cost? Bambu Lab hasn’t priced the H3C. Its US store gives the range around it. The H2C AMS Combo lists at $2,199, the H2C Vortek Ultimate Bundle at $2,499, and the H2C Laser Full Combo with a 40W laser tops out at $3,149. Bambu’s Black Friday sale, from Oct. 27 at 8 a.m. ET until 2 a.m. ET on Dec. 1, cuts them to $1,899, $2,129 and $2,699. The dual-nozzle H2D sells for $1,399 in the sale, down from $1,549, and the H2D AMS Combo costs $1,599, down from $1,749.
Expected price: $2,799 with an AMS filament unit, our estimate. Nine tools need more hardware than the H2C’s hotend swapper, so we expect the H3C to start above the $2,499 Vortek bundle, with laser and accessory bundles above $3,000.
| Printer | US price before the sale | Black Friday sale |
|---|---|---|
| Bambu Lab H3C with AMS | $2,799 expected, our estimate | Not announced |
| H2C Laser Full Combo, 40W | $3,149 | $2,699 |
| H2C Vortek Ultimate Bundle | $2,499 | $2,129 |
| H2C AMS Combo | $2,199 | $1,899 |
| H2D, printer only | $1,549 | $1,399 |
The H2C is Bambu’s current answer to multi-material printing. Its Vortek system swaps the entire hotend instead of purging old filament, heats a new nozzle by induction in about 8 seconds and prints with up to seven hotends, six of them swappable. The AMS Combo ships with eight hotends and one AMS 2 Pro, and the chamber heats to 65 °C for engineering filaments, with nozzles rated to 350 °C.
The H3C raises the tool count to nine and, by Bambu’s wording, brings a new way to swap them. Bambu hasn’t said whether the H3C keeps the H2C’s build volume, laser module option or heated chamber.
