Apple October event 2026: no event announced yet, but reports point to Oct. 28 in Los Angeles
Apple hasn't announced an October 2026 event. Its events page still leads with the Sept. 9 event, where Apple introduced iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5, and its Oct. 13 launches, HomeView, a new Apple TV 4K and HomePod mini 2, came as press releases. Reports say Apple has invited press and creators to an all-day product launch in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Oct. 28, possibly with an online presentation on Oct. 27, and that the new products go on sale on Friday, Nov. 6. Apple hasn't confirmed any of it. The products named in those reports are a MacBook Pro with an OLED touchscreen, an iPad mini with an OLED screen and new Macs with the M6 chip, including an iMac.

Apple hasn’t announced an October 2026 event, but reports say one is coming in Los Angeles on Oct. 28. Here’s what Apple has said, what the reports claim and which products could show up.
Is there an Apple event in October 2026?
Not one that Apple has announced. As of Oct. 18, Apple’s events page still leads with the Sept. 9 event, where it introduced iPhone Duo, iPhone 18 Pro, Apple Watch Series 12, Apple Watch Ultra 4 and AirPods 5. Apple hasn’t sent invitations for anything newer.
Apple did announce new products in October, just not on stage. On Oct. 13, it posted press releases for HomeView, a home hub with a 7-inch screen, at $299, a new Apple TV 4K at $299 and HomePod mini 2 at $149. Our Oct. 13 launches page has every price and date. The iPhone Duo launches on Friday, Oct. 23, from $1,999.
Oct. 27 or Oct. 28: what reports say
Reports first pointed to Tuesday, Oct. 27. A newer report, from a reporter who covers Apple and cites people familiar with its plans, says Apple has begun inviting press and creators to an all-day product launch experience in Los Angeles on Wednesday, Oct. 28. An online presentation could come the day before. The same report says the new products go on sale on Friday, Nov. 6.
Apple hasn’t confirmed any of these dates. The format described is a hands-on launch rather than a classic keynote, so a full livestream like the September event isn’t certain. Apple hasn’t announced a stream.
What Apple could announce
The headline product in the reports is Apple’s first touchscreen Mac: a MacBook Pro with an OLED display in 14-inch and 16-inch sizes, said to keep the M5 Pro and M5 Max chips of the current model and sit above it as a pricier option. Our touchscreen MacBook Pro page covers everything reported about it.

Reports also name an iPad mini with an OLED screen and new Macs with the M6 chip, including an iMac and an entry-level 14-inch MacBook Pro in the current design. M6, Apple’s first 2-nanometer chip, is so far only in the Mac mini, which Apple announced on Aug. 25 and put on sale on Sept. 22 from $899. Our MacBook Pro M6 and iPad mini 8 pages track both. Apple hasn’t confirmed any of these products.
When Apple launched Macs in past Octobers
October has been Apple’s Mac month for three years running. On Oct. 30, 2023, Apple announced the MacBook Pro with M3, available from Nov. 7. On Oct. 30, 2024, it announced the MacBook Pro with M4, available from Nov. 8, at the end of a week that also brought a new iMac and Mac mini. On Oct. 15, 2025, it announced the 14-inch MacBook Pro with M5, available from Oct. 22.

The 2024 and 2025 launches came as press releases. Apple’s events page lists no October event in either year, which is why a hands-on day in Los Angeles would be a change. A reveal on Oct. 28 and a sale date of Nov. 6 would fit the same one-to-two-week gap Apple used before.
Expected prices
Apple hasn’t priced anything, so these are our estimates, based on what Apple charges now on its US store.
The touchscreen MacBook Pro: from about $2,799 for the 14-inch and about $3,299 for the 16-inch, our estimate. The current 14-inch with M5 Pro costs $2,499 and the 16-inch $2,999, and reports expect the OLED models to cost a few hundred dollars more. An entry-level MacBook Pro with M6: about $1,999, our estimate, the price of the current 14-inch with M5.
An M6 iMac: from about $1,499, our estimate, the price of the M4 iMac Apple sells. An OLED iPad mini: from about $599, our estimate, the price of the current iPad mini with A17 Pro.
This page is updated as soon as Apple sends invitations, posts an October event on its events page or announces new Macs.
