Apple HomeView: the $299 home hub
HomeView is the device people have been searching for as the “Apple home hub.” It is a 7-inch Liquid Retina screen on a stainless steel hinge above a domed speaker base, meant for a kitchen counter, a nightstand or, in the wall-mounted version, a hallway. It recognizes up to six people by their faces, so each person gets a personal Home Screen, Messages, Calendar and reminders, while shared photos and music stay open to everyone, guests included.

It runs Apple’s new assistant, Siri AI, in beta. With a paired iPhone or iPad that supports Apple Intelligence, Siri AI can pull from your messages and calendar; without one, you still get its general knowledge and music search. HomeView also controls lights, locks, thermostats and blinds, shows doorbell and camera feeds, makes FaceTime calls, reads recipes step by step, and listens for smoke and carbon monoxide alarms. Setting it up requires an iPhone or iPad.
Apple TV 4K (4th generation): A19 and a mic you can talk to
The new Apple TV 4K runs on the A19 chip, which Apple says is up to 50% faster in the CPU and up to twice as fast in graphics as the previous model, with a new AV1 decoder for streaming. Three far-field microphones let you talk to Siri without picking up the remote, and the new Siri Remote keeps its familiar design but now shows up in Find My and can play a sound.

The other headline is sound. For the first time, four HomePod mini 2 speakers, or four HomePod (2nd generation) speakers in matching front and rear pairs, can run as surround sound with the new Apple TV 4K, which calibrates timing and levels to the room on its own.
It costs $299, or $49.83 a month for six months, and reaches stores on Friday, Nov. 13 in the US and 29 other countries and regions. Siri AI also comes as a beta to older models, back to the Apple TV 4K (2nd generation).
HomePod mini 2: $149, out Oct. 30
The smallest speaker is the first of the four to ship. HomePod mini 2 costs $149, comes in pink, green, blue, white and midnight, and runs on the S10 chip. It can tell up to six people apart by voice, light up its top in sync with the music, and act as the speaker for a Mac with Wi-Fi 6E.

There is one catch: Siri AI is not on HomePod mini 2 at launch. Apple says it arrives in a future software update, in English, in eight countries including the US.
Apple Home Collection: cameras, a lock and thermostats
Apple did not build these itself. LG Electronics and Schneider Electric designed them with Apple to set up with one tap of an iPhone and run entirely in the Home app, with no extra app or account.

The cameras record at up to 2.5K and store 10 days of events in iCloud+ rather than a separate camera plan. The LG lock uses Ultra Wideband to unlock as you walk up with an iPhone or Apple Watch, and keeps working without internet.
Apple’s Oct. 13 releases cover only the home lineup. The next date on Apple’s calendar is this week: iPhone Duo pre-orders open Friday, Oct. 16 at 8 a.m. ET, and the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max are already on sale.
This page is updated as soon as HomePod mini 2 reaches stores on Oct. 30, HomeView and Apple TV 4K ship on Nov. 13, and Apple sets exact dates for the Home Collection accessories.
