iPhone Duo ship date: new orders ship Jan. 22, 2027, three months after launch

New iPhone Duo orders won’t ship until late January. Here’s the date Apple gives for every model, how it compares with other countries and the iPhone 18 Pro, and what it means for launch day.

When will my iPhone Duo ship?

If you order it from Apple’s US online store, it ships on Jan. 22, 2027. We checked at 11:36 a.m. ET on Oct. 18, 2026, and Apple showed that date for every iPhone Duo it sells, unlocked, in both colors and all four storage sizes. Standard delivery is free and takes up to five days after shipping, and the store says the phone is unavailable for two-hour delivery.

The date hasn’t moved since Oct. 16. Pre-orders opened that day at 5 a.m. PT, or 8 a.m. ET, and by 9 a.m. ET the store was already quoting Jan. 22. Apple says availability begins on Friday, Oct. 23, so a new order ships about three months after launch.

IPhone Duo ship date by model and country

Color and storage don’t change anything. The 256GB model at $1,999, the 512GB at $2,199, the 1TB at $2,599 and the 2TB at $3,199 all ship on Jan. 22, in star white and night sky alike.

Apple’s stores in other first-wave countries give the same date. Canada quotes Jan. 22 for all eight models, from C$2,999, the UK from £1,999 and Australia from A$3,499. Apple says the phone launches in more than 70 countries and regions on Oct. 23, and in 28 more on Oct. 30.

Is the iPhone Duo sold out?

Not officially. Apple hasn’t called it sold out, and its store still lets you place an order and pay for it. What it doesn’t have is phones to send before late January, in any configuration.

Pre-order day showed how fast the first wave went. Right after the 8 a.m. ET start, the Apple Store held shoppers on a waiting page before letting them in, and within an hour every model had slipped to Jan. 22. Apple hasn’t said how many iPhone Duo phones it made for launch, so there’s no official number to explain the wait. The full launch details are on our iPhone Duo release date and price page.

IPhone Duo vs iPhone 18 Pro shipping times

The wait is specific to the iPhone Duo. On Oct. 18, the same store quoted one to two weeks for all 16 iPhone 18 Pro models, from $1,199, and two to three weeks for all 16 iPhone 18 Pro Max models, from $1,299. Both went on sale on Sept. 18, a month before the Duo.

So an iPhone 18 Pro Max ordered on Oct. 18 should arrive in the first half of November, more than two months before a new iPhone Duo order ships.

Can you get an iPhone Duo in store on Oct. 23?

Apple says shoppers can arrange pickup at their local Apple Store, and the phone goes on sale in the first wave of countries on Oct. 23. When we checked on Oct. 16, though, in-store pickup for new orders only said to check back on Oct. 24, the day after launch. Apple hasn’t said how many phones each store will have for walk-in buyers.
