Uncharted 5 release date: Naughty Dog hasn't announced a new Uncharted
Uncharted 5 has no release date, because Sony and Naughty Dog haven't announced it. The last main game, Uncharted 4: A Thief's End, came out on May 10, 2016, and the last new Uncharted of any kind was the spin-off The Lost Legacy on Aug. 22, 2017. Naughty Dog's next game is Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, revealed on Dec. 12, 2024, and still without a date.

There’s no Uncharted 5 on the calendar, and the series has been quiet for years. Here’s what’s official and where Uncharted stands.
Is Uncharted 5 announced?
No. Sony and Naughty Dog haven’t announced Uncharted 5 or any other new Uncharted game, so there’s no trailer, release date or platform.
The last main game, Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, came out on PS4 on May 10, 2016, with Nathan Drake as the hero. Uncharted: The Lost Legacy, a standalone spin-off starring Chloe Frazer, followed on Aug. 22, 2017. That’s the most recent new Uncharted.
Since then, the series has come back only in remastered form. The Legacy of Thieves Collection brought A Thief’s End and The Lost Legacy to PS5 on Jan. 28, 2022, and to PC on Oct. 19, 2022. Years earlier, the Nathan Drake Collection remastered the first three games for PS4 on Oct. 9, 2015.
What Naughty Dog is making instead
Naughty Dog’s next game is Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a new sci-fi series for PS5 revealed on Dec. 12, 2024. It doesn’t have a release date yet. Our Intergalactic release date guide tracks it.
The studio hasn’t announced anything after that. That goes for The Last of Us too: The Last of Us Part 3 isn’t announced either.
How long a new Uncharted could take
Naughty Dog teased a new Uncharted for PS4 on Nov. 14, 2013, and released it as A Thief’s End about two and a half years later. If a new Uncharted were revealed today and took as long, it would land around spring 2029. That’s arithmetic from a past gap, not a date from Sony, and Naughty Dog would most likely ship Intergalactic first.
Will Uncharted 5 be on PS5 or PS6?
Nobody knows yet. The game hasn’t been announced, and Sony hasn’t given a release date or even a name for its next console. Our PS6 guide has everything Sony has said so far.
Where to play Uncharted now
The easiest way in is the Legacy of Thieves Collection. It costs $49.99 on the PlayStation Store and on Steam, and the PlayStation Store lists it in the PS Plus Extra catalog. It includes A Thief’s End and The Lost Legacy, remastered for PS5 and PC.
This page is updated as soon as Sony or Naughty Dog announces a new Uncharted.
