Next Nintendo Direct date: Nintendo hasn't announced one yet
Nintendo has not announced its next Nintendo Direct. The latest full Direct aired on Sept. 9, 2026, and revealed Metroid Ravenous and Kirby and the World Beyond, one day after The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct on Sept. 8. Nintendo has held eight Directs so far in 2026, two of them full general showcases, and in each of the last two years it ran one more themed Direct in October or November.

Nintendo has not announced its next Nintendo Direct. The most recent one aired on Sept. 9, 2026, a day after The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct. Here is what Nintendo has done so far, the pattern from the last two falls, and what is already dated on Nintendo’s calendar.
When is the next Nintendo Direct?
Nintendo hasn’t said. As of Oct. 14, 2026, its Nintendo Direct page still leads with the Sept. 9 presentation, and Nintendo’s US news posts since then have announced no new Direct.
Nintendo’s own archive shows a pattern for the fall, which it has not confirmed for this year. In both 2024 and 2025, there was one themed Direct after September: the Super Nintendo World Direct on Nov. 11, 2024, and Kirby Air Riders Direct #2 on Oct. 23, 2025. Neither year had a full general Direct after September. After the general Direct on Sept. 12, 2025, the next one came about nine months later, on June 9, 2026, with themed Directs and a Partner Showcase in between.

What the last two Directs announced
The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct, Sept. 8. Series producer Eiji Aonuma showed the first gameplay of the Ocarina of Time remake for Switch 2 and set it for Nov. 5. A week earlier, on Oct. 29, Nintendo releases a Zelda 40th Anniversary Edition Switch 2 system with matching Pro Controllers and a carrying case. Nintendo also announced a worldwide Zelda concert tour for 2027 and new Young Link and Young Zelda amiibo for 2027. See our Ocarina of Time remake page.
Nintendo Direct, Sept. 9. The headliners were two new Switch 2 exclusives: Metroid Ravenous, a 2D Metroid out Jan. 28, 2027, and Kirby and the World Beyond, a 3D Kirby for spring 2027, the series' 35th anniversary. Nintendo also showed Nintendo Switch Sports Resort, Pikmin 4 – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Dandori Academy and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity – Definitive Edition, and confirmed that a Yo-kai Watch 2 remake is in development. Third-party highlights included Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Monster Hunter Wilds, Persona 6, Persona 4 Revival and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis.

When was the last Nintendo Direct?
Sept. 9, 2026. It showed Metroid Ravenous, Kirby and the World Beyond, Final Fantasy VII Revelation, Monster Hunter Wilds, Persona 6, Persona 4 Revival and Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis for Switch 2, among others. The Legend of Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct aired the day before, on Sept. 8.
Is there a Nintendo Direct in October or November?
Nintendo has not announced one. In the last two years it held one themed Direct in the fall after September: the Super Nintendo World Direct on Nov. 11, 2024, and Kirby Air Riders Direct #2 on Oct. 23, 2025. Nintendo has not said whether it will do the same in 2026.
