What’s new in NBA 2K27

The biggest change is The City, which is co-ed for the first time: you can build a female MyPLAYER, and men and women compete on the same footing in every multiplayer mode. MyCAREER adds Eras, where you play through five periods of NBA history, a new story called Fire & Concrete and the series' first co-op MyCAREER.

MyNBA goes back to basics with new roster tools, better contract negotiations and a GM Trust system, plus MyNBA Legacy, a player-locked mode that spans 100 years. In MyTEAM, every card now earns Player XP as you play.

Season 2 starts Oct. 16

Season 2 begins on Friday, Oct. 16, in time for the NBA’s Tip-Off, and it’s headlined by Caitlin Clark and Tyrese Haliburton. It brings GOAT Builds, MyPLAYER builds based on NBA legends that break the usual size and attribute caps, and brings back Sunset Beach from NBA 2K17 in The City. Patch 2.0 arrives just before it, with fixes to shot contests, shooting balance, rebounds and dunks.
