Platforms: from PS4 to Switch 2

FC 27 is on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch and PC, where you can buy it in the EA app, on Steam or in the Epic Games Store. The older versions don’t get everything: The Grounds and Clubs are only on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, PC and Switch 2.

Price, editions and cover star

The Standard Edition costs $69.99. The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 and adds up to 6,000 FC Points over three months, Season 1 of the Premium Pass, an extra Player Evolution slot in Ultimate Team and bonus items for Career and The Grounds. A bigger Ultimate Plus Edition was sold only until Aug. 31. Kylian Mbappé, in a Real Madrid kit, is on the art for both editions.

FC 27 isn’t in the Game Pass catalog right now, though FC 25 and FC 26 are. If you played FC 26 and play FC 27 before Nov. 1, 2026, you qualify for EA’s Club Membership rewards across Ultimate Team, Career, The Grounds and Clubs.

What’s new: The Grounds, Career and FUT

The headline addition is The Grounds, a social football playground where the streets meet the stadium. You can play Kickabouts and 1v1s, team up with friends in Clubs and meet football mentors who improve your player’s abilities. Manager Career gets a rebuilt Transfer Market with realistic player values, competing bids from other clubs and new performance and buy-back clauses, and Dynamic OVRs now change with a player’s form, morale and fitness.

In Football Ultimate Team, the new FUT Gallery lets you show off your favorite Player Items to raise your Gallery Level and earn rewards. On the pitch, EA added dynamic corners and better attacking awareness, and it made defending more manual, rewarding anticipation and positioning over automatic help from teammates.

FC 27 Lite: the free version

FC 27 Lite is a free preview on Steam, live since Sept. 25. It includes Kick-Off with a selection of top clubs, Learn to Play, and online Friendlies and Online Seasons. Ultimate Team, Manager and Player Career and The Grounds need the full game, and your progress carries over if you upgrade on the same platform and EA account.

Updates since launch

EA has shipped title updates v1.0.3 on Oct. 2 and v1.0.4 on Oct. 7, both with fixes for the new Career transfer system, which was producing too many transfer requests and too many competing offers. On Oct. 9, it fixed FUT Champions matchmaking, which had been searching more broadly than intended. In its Oct. 13 feedback update, EA said it’s still watching how players adapt to manual defending, fullbacks that drop too deep and slow Kickabout matchmaking in The Grounds.
