Platforms: PS5, Xbox and, for the first time, PC
College Football 27 is on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. It’s the first EA Sports College Football game on PC, and it launched there on the same day as on consoles, in the EA app, on Steam and in the Epic Games Store. There’s no Switch 2 version, unlike Madden NFL 27. EA also runs a separate College Football Mobile game.
Price: $69.99, or $99.99 for the Deluxe Edition
The Standard Edition costs $69.99 and the Deluxe Edition $99.99. EA also sells two bundles with Madden NFL 27: the Kickoff Bundle, with both Standard Editions, and the MVP Bundle, with both Deluxe Editions. Until Oct. 15, 2026, the Standard Edition is 35% off, at $45.49 on Steam and in the EA app.
College Football 27 isn’t in the Game Pass catalog right now, though College Football 25 and 26 are. EA Play members can try it for up to 10 hours.
What’s new in College Football 27
The big addition in Dynasty is the Dynasty Blueprint: you meet your athletic director’s expectations to earn Dynasty Points, then spend them on recruiting, NIL, staff and facilities. Road to Glory adds new positions, including tight end, edge rusher and safety, and tracks your Draft Stock and Legacy Score. Mascot Mashup lets you play 11-on-11 games as more than 120 school mascots.
Paid progression removed after launch
On July 11, two days after launch, EA removed all paid progression options from Road to Glory and Online Dynasty. It said players felt the options didn’t add the value it intended, and that its goal for College Football 28 and beyond is more transparency about live features. College Points already in players' wallets can no longer be spent in those two modes.
Updates since launch
EA has shipped regular title updates, most recently on Oct. 1. The Sept. 3 update added the EA Sports Network, a news hub with personalized coverage, game previews and recaps in Dynasty and Road to Glory. An Aug. 27 roster update added more than 1,900 players, and Ultimate Team is in Season 3, which started on Sept. 25.
