NBA 2K27 Season 2 runs from Oct. 16 to Nov. 27, and the free track tops out at Level 40 with a +1 Cap Breaker. Here’s every reward, all 18 GOAT Builds and how to unlock them.

When does NBA 2K27 Season 2 end?

On Friday, Nov. 27, 2026. 2K says the Season 2 Pro Pass and Hall of Fame Pass are available until 7:59 a.m. PT, or 10:59 a.m. ET, that day, after which they expire. 2K hasn’t announced a Season 3 date, and progress and rewards reset at the end of each season, so anything you haven’t unlocked by then is gone.

The season started on Friday, Oct. 16, six weeks after the game’s Sept. 4 launch. Patch 2.0 came out first on PS5 and Xbox Series X and S and reached Switch 2 and PC shortly before the season began. Our NBA 2K27 release date page has the editions, prices and platforms.

NBA 2K27 Season 2 rewards, Level 1 to 40

You earn XP for the free track by playing MyCAREER and every game mode in The City, including The REC, the Park and The Theater. The badge rewards are spread across the whole climb: Synergy Badge Slots at Levels 7, 15, 25 and 35, Bonus Badge Slots at Levels 11 and 31, and Bonus Badge Tokens at Levels 16 and 36.

The cosmetics lean into Halloween. Level 18 brings a 4-Person Golf Cart, Level 20 the Indiana Pacers mascot Boomer, Level 24 the Temperature Teammote featuring Sean Paul, and Level 27 the New Balance x Cameron Brink P400 Low Malibu Melt. Level 39 gives the Clown Costume: Ankle Taker. Three GOAT Builds sit on the track too, at Levels 26, 33 and 37. Level 40 ends it with a +1 Cap Breaker.

GOAT Builds: all 18 and how to unlock them

GOAT Builds are MyPLAYER builds modeled on NBA legends and current stars, and they break the standard attribute and physical caps of the MyPLAYER Builder. 2K’s example is the Magic Johnson build: a point guard taller than the 6-foot-7 limit of a regular point guard build. Each has its own archetype name. Signature animations are locked to keep the player’s feel, but Badges, Cap Breakers and Takeovers are yours to customize.

Eight are available from the first day on the new GOAT Builds path: Penny Hardaway and Gilbert Arenas at point guard, Klay Thompson at shooting guard, Carmelo Anthony, Andrei Kirilenko and Kawhi Leonard at small forward, Anthony Davis at power forward and Dwight Howard at center.

The rest take work. The rewards track unlocks Magic Johnson at Level 26, Dirk Nowitzki at Level 33 and a young Kobe Bryant at Level 37. REP unlocks Ray Allen and Hakeem Olajuwon at Elite V, Derrick Rose and Michael Jordan at Elite VIII, and LeBron James at Legend I. Lifetime Challenges unlock Anthony Edwards at 300 challenges and Wilt Chamberlain at 350.

2K also added five community builds made by players, one for each position, from a 6-foot-4 point guard to a 7-foot center.

MyTEAM Season 2 rewards

The MyTEAM track starts with Diamond Jason Kidd at Level 1, then adds Pink Diamond Obi Toppin at Level 10, Galaxy Opal Roy Hibbert at Level 20 and Diamond Coach Joe Mazzulla at Level 28, who gives your team +3 to Offensive and Defensive Rebound, Pass Perception, Steal and Vertical. Dark Matter Devin Vassell comes at Level 30, Pixel Cut WNBA Kelsey Mitchell at Level 35 and Pixel Cut Karl-Anthony Towns at Level 40.

The Premier Exchange card for the season is Pixel Cut Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. You can trade in any player card except Free Agent cards, and progress carries over, so once you start submitting cards you can finish later. Domination adds two new tiers against Historic and All-Time teams, and Triple Threat Online and Clutch Time Online run all season.

Pro Pass rewards

The Season 2 Pro Pass and Hall of Fame Pass are paid add-ons that unlock 40 more levels of rewards. The Pro Pass gives four rewards right away: a Jack-O'-Lantern Scarecrow Costume, a Headhunter Mask, a Dark Matter Pascal Siakam card and a Pro Pass Pack. Its premium track adds Work, featuring Rihanna, at Level 1, Jack-O'-Lantern Facepaint at Level 3, the Cavaliers mascot Sir C.C. at Level 12, a Fire Face Body Mod at Level 18, the Wizards mascot G-Wiz at Level 30, a Molten Headhunter Mask at Level 36, the Clown Costume: Game Over at Level 39 and a Pro Pass Pixel Cut Karl-Anthony Towns with special card art at Level 40. 2K’s post doesn’t list prices, and passes are non-refundable.

Patch 2.0, Crew Divisions and The City

Patch 2.0 tunes shooting, passing, defense, steals and dribbling, brings full 25-year careers to MyCAREER Eras and raises REP and Crew XP earnings in Crew Divisions. Crew Divisions now gives Double Crew XP and a +25% REP bonus for every game, and Crew HQ’s difficulty matches The REC, with competitive sliders still available at the Squad Showdown Kiosk.

In The City, Sunset Beach, a court remastered from NBA 2K17 with a volcano and a giant fish tank, is back. American Express took over The Theater for a week from Oct. 16 at 8 a.m. PT, with custom apparel for the first 200,000 US players who play three games there on Oct. 16, 17 and 18; the contest closes on Oct. 19 at 8:59 a.m. PT. 2K Beats adds five mixes, including a playlist curated by Haliburton and tracks from Space Jam for its 30th anniversary.
