Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave gets a $34.99 Expansion Pass, and Wave 1 is out now

Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave has a paid Expansion Pass. Nintendo put it on sale on Oct. 14, 2026, for $34.99, about four weeks after the Switch 2 game came out. The pass covers three waves of content: prototype weapons for the four heroes, available now; three gods you can call on in battle and new outfits this holiday; and new stories for four characters in 2027. You can't buy the waves separately, and you need the full game, which costs $69.99, or $104.99 in a bundle with the pass.

Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave has a $34.99 Expansion Pass, and its first wave is out now. Nintendo put the pass on sale on Oct. 14, about four weeks after the Switch 2 game launched on Sept. 17. It covers three waves of content through 2027.

Wave 1 gives the four heroes, Cai, Dietrich, Theodora and Leda, prototype weapons modeled after the Heroes' Relics from Fire Emblem: Three Houses. It’s available now.

Wave 2 arrives in holiday 2026. It lets you enlist three powerful gods, Aurora, Smyrnos and Jurah, in battle, and adds new outfits for your units.

Wave 3 arrives in 2027, with new stories featuring Bertrand, Talimun, Orchel and Anatolia, plus new allies to recruit and classes to unlock.

Price and how to buy it. The pass costs $34.99 on Nintendo’s US store. If you don’t own the game yet, the game-plus-pass bundle costs $104.99, which is the same as buying the $69.99 game and the pass separately. Nintendo says the full game is required and the waves can’t be bought one at a time; buying the pass unlocks each wave as it releases.

Fortune’s Weave is a turn-based strategy game set in the Dagdan Empire, where fighters compete in the Heroic Games for the chance to be granted one wish. It came out on Sept. 17, 2026, only on Switch 2, and follows four heroes whose stories are tied to the fate of the world.
