The Duskbloods release date: still set for 2026, with no exact day yet
The Duskbloods is still due in 2026, but FromSoftware hasn't announced a release day, and with 11 weeks left in the year there's no price or pre-order either. Both FromSoftware's official site and Nintendo's US store list the game as a 2026 release. It's a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive from Elden Ring director Hidetaka Miyazaki: an online PvPvE action game for up to eight players, in which you fight both other players and the game's enemies. The most recent step was a network test from Aug. 21 to 24, 2026.

When does The Duskbloods come out?
FromSoftware hasn’t named a day. When it revealed the game at the Nintendo Direct on April 2, 2025, it said The Duskbloods would come out in 2026, and that’s still the window on its official site and on Nintendo’s US store. Nintendo’s US store lists it as coming soon, with no price and a rating still pending.

Network test: what happened in August
FromSoftware ran the network test from Aug. 21 to 24, 2026, Japan time. Before the first session, it published an online manual covering the controls, the game screen and the basic rules. It asked testers to turn on error reporting on their Switch 2, and to try a stable wireless connection or a wired connection in the dock if online play was unstable.
After the test, FromSoftware opened a survey for testers and non-testers alike until Sept. 4, with four original wallpapers for everyone who answered. It says the feedback will help it improve the final game. Sign-ups for the test are now closed.
How it plays: PvPvE for up to eight players
Miyazaki calls The Duskbloods a PvPvE game: you fight other players and computer-controlled enemies in the same match. From a hub area, you pick your character, customize it and head into online matches for up to eight players. Matches are usually last player standing, but some have other goals, such as teaming up to take down a powerful boss. You get rewards after every match, win or lose, and spend them on customizing your character.

Miyazaki says the game started as a small project for the original Switch before Nintendo told FromSoftware about Switch 2, and the studio rebuilt it around the new console’s online features. He also says the focus on multiplayer doesn’t mean FromSoftware is moving to multiplayer games in general.
The Bloodsworn: over a dozen characters
You play as one of the Bloodsworn, beings with superhuman abilities that come from special blood. They’ve been summoned to fight at the Twilight of Humanity, forming short-lived alliances and rivalries as they compete for the right to First Blood. Miyazaki says there are more than a dozen characters, each with their own look, weapons and abilities, and you can customize each one to a certain extent.

Movement is faster than in FromSoftware’s earlier games: basic moves include sprinting, a super jump and a double jump. The setting includes firearms, and every character has some way to attack from a distance.
Platforms, price and online
The Duskbloods is coming only to Nintendo Switch 2, in TV, tabletop and handheld modes. Online play needs a Nintendo Switch Online membership, sold separately. FromSoftware and Nintendo haven’t announced a price, an edition lineup or pre-orders.
