Bloodborne 2 release date: not announced, and no PS5 or PC version either
Bloodborne 2 doesn't have a release date, because neither Sony nor FromSoftware has announced it. The original Bloodborne came out on PS4 on March 24, 2015, and it still hasn't received a PS5 version, a remaster or a PC port. FromSoftware's official site lists only one upcoming game, The Duskbloods, a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive due in 2026.
Bloodborne fans have waited more than a decade for news. Here’s what’s official about a sequel, a PS5 version and FromSoftware’s next game.
When does Bloodborne 2 come out?
There’s no release date, because Bloodborne 2 hasn’t been announced. Sony hasn’t revealed it, and FromSoftware’s official site lists only one upcoming game, The Duskbloods, which isn’t a Bloodborne game. Dates for Bloodborne 2 that circulate online aren’t official.
The original Bloodborne came out on PS4 on March 24, 2015, so by simple arithmetic, it has been about 11 and a half years without a sequel as of October 2026.
Is Bloodborne on PS5 or PC?
Not as a new version. The PlayStation Store still sells Bloodborne as a PS4 game for $19.99. Sony hasn’t announced a PS5 version, a PS5 upgrade, a remaster or a PC port. You can still play the PS4 version on a PS5 through backward compatibility.
That matters for anyone searching for a Bloodborne remaster or a PC release: none of them exist as official products, and Sony hasn’t said one is in the works.
Who would make Bloodborne 2?
Sony would have the final say. Bloodborne was published by Sony Computer Entertainment, now Sony Interactive Entertainment, and the PlayStation Store page says Sony holds the Bloodborne trademark. FromSoftware, the studio behind Dark Souls and Elden Ring, developed it.
FromSoftware’s next game
FromSoftware’s official site lists The Duskbloods for 2026. It’s a Nintendo Switch 2 exclusive, an online multiplayer action game for up to eight players, directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki. FromSoftware hasn’t announced an exact release day or price, and a network test ran from Aug. 21 to 24, 2026. See what’s known about the Duskbloods release date.
FromSoftware’s site also lists Elden Ring Nightreign, which came out in May 2025, as a co-op action survival game for three players, with single-player also supported.
This page is updated as soon as Sony or FromSoftware announces Bloodborne 2, a remaster or a new version of Bloodborne.
