When does Crash Bandicoot 5 come out?
There’s no release date, because Activision hasn’t announced Crash Bandicoot 5. It hasn’t revealed a title, a studio, platforms or a trailer, and dates shared online, including 2027, aren’t official. Claims that a Crash Bandicoot 5 was cancelled, or that a new Crash game is already planned, haven’t been confirmed by Activision either.

What Activision did for Crash’s 30th birthday
Activision marked the anniversary on Sept. 9, 2026, noting that Crash first launched in 1996 in North America, Europe and Japan. The celebration was about crossovers and merchandise: a Crash Bandicoot outfit in Fortnite, sold in the Item Shop through Sept. 11, a re-released Nendoroid figure from Good Smile Company and a collectible coin. The post pointed fans to the games already out and didn’t announce a new one.
Who would make Crash Bandicoot 5
Toys for Bob made Crash 4 and the 4v4 online game Crash Team Rumble, which came out on June 20, 2023. The studio is now independent, and its current game is Spyro: A Realm Beyond, published by Activision. It was revealed at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7, 2026, and it’s due in spring 2027 on Xbox Series X|S, PC, PS5 and Switch 2, and included with Game Pass. Microsoft has owned Activision since October 2023. Neither company has said which studio, if any, is working on the next Crash game.
Where to play Crash Bandicoot now
The Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, a remake of the first three games, came out on PS4 on June 30, 2017, and it’s $39.99 on Steam. Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time got a PS5 version on March 12, 2021, and it reached Steam on Oct. 18, 2022, also for $39.99. The kart racer Crash Team Racing Nitro-Fueled, a remake of the original Crash Team Racing, came out in June 2019.
