iPhone Duo colors: star white and night sky, both in mirror-polished titanium at the same price

Apple’s first foldable iPhone comes in just two colors, and they cost exactly the same. Here’s what star white and night sky look like, what they’re made of and which one to pick.

What colors does the iPhone Duo come in?

Two: star white and night sky. Apple’s spec sheet lists no other finish. Apple announced both on Sept. 9, 2026, as two refined colors and describes the phone as crafted from grade 5 titanium that’s polished to a mirror finish. Pre-orders opened on Friday, Oct. 16, and the iPhone Duo goes on sale on Friday, Oct. 23, in both colors and all four storage sizes.

The color is the only thing that changes between the two. Price, storage options, weight, size, cameras and ship date are identical, so the choice comes down to looks. The finish covers the outside only: the 7.6-inch inner screen with its glare-cutting nano-texture finish and the 5.4-inch outer screen are the same on both. So is the box, which holds the phone and a 1-meter USB-C charge cable, with no power adapter.

Star white

Star white is the light option. In Apple’s product photos, it pairs a white back with a bright, silvery polished titanium frame, and the camera plateau on the back matches the frame. Opened, the light frame wraps around the 7.6-inch inner screen like a thin silver border.

Apple names it first in its announcements, and it’s the color to buy if you want the folded phone to look like a polished metal object rather than a dark slab.

Night sky

Night sky is the dark option. Apple’s photos show a deep blue-toned back with a dark polished titanium frame and a camera plateau in the same shade.

It’s the closest thing to a black iPhone Duo, and it pairs neatly with Apple’s navy blue Case and Folio for an all-dark look. It’s also the more understated choice for a $1,999 phone you’ll open in meetings and on the train.

Titanium, mirror polish and the hinge cover

Both colors share the same build. The frame and hinge cover are grade 5 titanium, and the enclosure uses 85% recycled titanium. The 3D-printed hinge cover is made from 100% recycled titanium and has a micro-blasted finish that contrasts with the mirror-polished frame, so the spine of the folded phone looks matte while the sides shine.

Ceramic Shield 2 protects the 5.4-inch outer screen and Ceramic Shield covers the back, in both colors. The phone is rated IP68 for water and dust, and both versions weigh 8.96 ounces (254 grams). Our iPhone Duo dimensions page has every measurement, open and closed.

IPhone Duo price in each color

Apple charges the same in star white and night sky. In its US online store, the unlocked iPhone Duo costs $1,999 for 256GB, $2,199 for 512GB, $2,599 for 1TB and $3,199 for 2TB, or $83.29 a month for 24 months for the 256GB model.

Ship dates in both colors

Neither color ships faster. When we checked Apple’s US online store at 7:08 a.m. ET on Oct. 19, 2026, all eight models, in star white and night sky and in every storage size, showed a ship date of Jan. 22, 2027. Cases that go with each color

Pick star white if you want the iPhone Duo to look like what it is, a polished titanium object, and you plan to use it without a case or with a clear view of the frame.
