Pokémon GO’s Halloween 2026 runs in two parts, and both follow the clock in each player’s own time zone. Here’s when Halloween 2026 starts and ends, what each part adds and what the GO Pass costs.
When does Pokémon GO Halloween 2026 start?
Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, at 10 a.m. local time. Pokémon GO runs the event on each player’s own clock, so it starts at 10 a.m. ET in New York, 10 a.m. CT in Chicago and 10 a.m. PT in Los Angeles. Part I lasts until Sunday, Nov. 1, at 10 a.m., and Part II takes over at that moment and runs until Thursday, Nov. 5, at 8 p.m. local time.
Part II starts on the same day the US leaves daylight time, at 2 a.m. on Nov. 1, and that doesn’t change anything for players: the switch happens eight hours before Part II begins, at 10 a.m. on the new clock.
New costumed Pokémon in Halloween 2026 Part I
Three costumed Pokémon debut in Part I: Pikachu wearing a hat and capelet, Zubat wearing a top hat and Sinistea wearing a bow, each with a chance at a Shiny. Pikachu and Sinistea also appear in one-star raids, and Zubat shows up in the wild together with Duskull, Piplup in a Halloween Mischief costume and, with luck, Drifblim in the same costume.
The Trick or Treat feature leaves spooky surprises in the wild. Tapping one gives an encounter with an event-themed Pokémon, Candy for Pikachu, Zubat or Sinistea, or Rare Candy. A remix of the Lavender Town music plays every night of the event.
GO Pass: Halloween 2026 and the $7.99 Deluxe
Every player gets the free GO Pass: Halloween 2026 automatically on Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. local time, and it runs through both parts until Nov. 5 at 8 p.m. Rank 10 unlocks 2× Candy for catching Pokémon, and Rank 20 unlocks 2× Stardust. GO Pass Deluxe costs $7.99 and raises both bonuses to 3×, and GO Pass Deluxe plus 10 Ranks costs $9.99 and puts the pass at Rank 11 right away.

Deluxe rewards include extra event encounters, the Patissier Top and Patissier Pants avatar items, Rare Candy XL and Premium Battle Passes. Buying Deluxe in the Pokémon GO Web Store adds 10 Ultra Balls, five Max Revives, one Premium Battle Pass and five Max Potions, and the $9.99 version two Premium Battle Passes instead of one. All GO Pass rewards expire on Saturday, Nov. 7, at 8 p.m. local time.
Halloween 2026 Part II: Shiny Greavard and Super Max Mega Sableye
Part II, from Nov. 1 at 10 a.m. to Nov. 5 at 8 p.m., brings Shiny Greavard to Pokémon GO for the first time, in the wild and in GO Pass and Field Research encounters. The wild lineup adds Litwick, Rowlet in a Halloween costume and, with luck, Gengar in a Spooky Festival costume.

Mega Sableye becomes the newest Pokémon to reach Super Max Level, the Mega Level above Max. At Super Max, Mega Sableye uses the extra Charged Attack Night Shade+, with 55 power in Trainer Battles and 160 power in raids, and the power grows with its Mega Level. Mega Evolving alone isn’t enough to get there: Sableye has to reach Max first, and Mega Energy powers it up from there.
Avatar items and decor
The in-game shop sells the Gothic Skirt Set, Gothic Shorts Set, Gothic Socks and Gothic Boots during the event, and they stay in the shop after it ends. Event stickers come from PokéStops, Gifts and the shop, and Pokémon, PokéStops and Gyms get Halloween decor in both parts.

The Pokémon Trading Card Game has its own dates in the same window, on our Pokémon Delta Reign release date and Pokémon TCG Pocket Dual Fusion release time pages, and the next main series games are on our Pokémon Gen 10 release date page.
This page is updated as soon as Pokémon GO announces new Halloween 2026 tasks, bonuses or raid bosses.
