Pokémon TCG Pocket Dual Fusion release time: Wednesday, Oct. 28, at 9 p.m. ET, with the first dual-type Pokémon

Pokémon TCG Pocket starts its second year with a new series and a first: Pokémon with two types. Here’s when Dual Fusion comes out in every time zone, which cards lead it and which events follow the launch.

What time does Dual Fusion come out?

Wednesday, Oct. 28, 2026, at 6 p.m. PT, which is 9 p.m. ET, 8 p.m. CT and 7 p.m. in Mexico City. In Europe and Asia, it’s already Thursday, Oct. 29: 1 a.m. in London, 2 a.m. in Paris, Berlin and Madrid, 9 a.m. in China and Singapore, 10 a.m. in Japan and Korea, 6:30 a.m. in India and noon in Sydney. In São Paulo, it’s 10 p.m. on Oct. 28.

Pokémon TCG Pocket came out on Oct. 30, 2024, so Dual Fusion arrives two days before the game’s second anniversary. The Pokémon Company announced the date on Oct. 20, together with the expansion’s first cards and an event schedule that runs into January.

Mega Mewtwo X ex and Mega Greninja ex: the first dual-type Pokémon

Dual Fusion marks the debut of dual-type Pokémon in Pokémon TCG Pocket. Mega Mewtwo X ex is a Psychic and Fighting type Basic Pokémon with 180 HP, and its Dual Impact attack does 100 damage, or 140 when a Stadium is in play. Mega Greninja ex is a Water and Darkness type Stage 2 Pokémon with 200 HP, no retreat cost and the Splash of Darkness attack, which does 100 damage for two Water Energy and stops the Defending Pokémon from retreating on the next turn.

Both follow the Mega Evolution ex rule: a Knocked Out Mega Evolution Pokémon ex gives the opponent 3 points, the full total needed to win a game. The official card images also show Mega Dragonite ex with 240 HP, Pikachu ex, Fuecoco ex and Mew ex, plus Venusaur, Charizard and Blastoise cards with full-card artwork.

Rental decks and the Mega Rayquaza ex elite deck

From launch until Dec. 15 at 5:59 p.m. PT, six Dual Fusion rental decks are open to every player, including dual-type decks built around Mega Mewtwo X ex and Mega Greninja ex. Starting with the C series, rental decks have unlimited uses and work in versus battles too, according to the October Producer Letter.

Every player also gets a new elite deck in Gifts. It’s a Dragon-type deck with Mega Rayquaza ex and Dragonair from Ruler of the Skies and Gouging Fire from Paradox Drive. Mega Greninja covers and backdrops follow on Saturday, Oct. 31.

Second anniversary events after Dual Fusion

The Second Anniversary Celebration Campaign runs from Oct. 29 to Dec. 14 and gives every player a ticket for a booster pack with a guaranteed ★★ card. The PROMO Reissue Event 2026 brings back B series promo cards from Oct. 29 to Nov. 12, and the Handy Card Collection Missions, from Oct. 29 to Jan. 26, 2027, hand out Trainer cards such as Sabrina and Red.

Later come the Dual Fusion Emblem Event with battle rally missions from Nov. 5 to 15, a Bonus Week with a booster pack for every daily login from Nov. 13 to 20, Promo Pack C Series Vol. 1 from Nov. 17 to Dec. 1, themed promo card events from Nov. 25 to Dec. 25, Ranked Match Season C1 from Nov. 30 to Dec. 14 and Community Week from Dec. 5 to 12.

What changes with the C series

The October Producer Letter moves booster packs from a cycle of about four weeks to about six weeks, so players have more time to complete each set. Our estimate for the next pack after Dual Fusion is mid-December, when the Dual Fusion rental decks end on Dec. 15.

The series also adds a Special Pack: First Partners, with the first partner Pokémon from all nine regions, opened with special pack stamina that recovers once a week, plus immersive cards as mission rewards, a Community Decks feature for copying popular decks and limited battle events after each pack.
