Onimusha: Way of the Sword’s DLC is three cosmetic and charm kits plus free Monster Hunter Rise outfits, and Capcom hasn’t announced a story DLC. Here’s what every kit includes, what’s free and what the game and its editions cost.
Does Onimusha: Way of the Sword have DLC?
Yes. Onimusha: Way of the Sword came out on Sept. 4, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X and S, Switch 2 and PC, and its paid DLC launched the same day in three kits: the Deluxe Kit, the Premium Kit and the Premium Deluxe Kit, which combines the first two.
Every item is cosmetic or a charm. Capcom sells the items only inside the kits, and three more items are free for every player.
The Deluxe Kit
The Deluxe Kit costs $19.99 and focuses on Miyamoto Musashi. It includes three charms, Oni Lady, Little Dancer and Mentor, each with a special effect when equipped, and four sword appearances: Bamboo & Panda, Whittled Oar, Raizan and Enryuu, whose ornate blades are thought by some to hold the power of fire.

It also adds the Red Armor outfit for Musashi and the Crimson Lotus look for the Oni Gauntlet, a ghoulish design of crimson flames. The $79.99 Deluxe Edition bundles the kit with the game, $9.99 less than buying both separately.
The Premium Kit and Premium Deluxe Kit
The Premium Kit, also $19.99, dresses up the whole cast. Musashi gets three haori coats, Hellfire, Moonlight and Cloudbiter, and Izumo no Okuni, the Kabuki dancer who has the capital enthralled, gets the Flower Dance, Goldfish Dance and Oni Dance outfits. The Oni Lady, who supports Musashi, gets Bird Call, Snow Camellia and Elegance, and the kit adds an in-game mini soundtrack with five tracks, including the main theme.

The Premium Deluxe Kit costs $29.99 and includes everything in both kits, $9.99 less than buying them separately. The $89.99 Premium Deluxe Edition bundles it with the game.
Free DLC: Monster Hunter Rise outfits
Three items cost nothing. Materials Pack: Red Souls I gives you 2,500 red souls for enhancing Musashi’s abilities and has been free since launch. On Sept. 6, 2026, Capcom added two free collaboration outfits from Monster Hunter Rise: Hinoa, which dresses the Oni Lady as Hinoa the Quest Maiden, and Yomogi’s Dance, which dresses Okuni as Yomogi the Chef.

Players who kept their demo save data also get the Kubi Akari charm in the full game.
How to get your DLC in the game
Every DLC item is claimed in the game at a Spirit Mirror. You swap outfits, haori coats and sword appearances through Change Appearance in the Spirit Mirror menu, and you equip charms from the Charms section of the Equipment screen in the main menu. Spirit Mirrors, Change Appearance and the Charms section unlock separately as the story progresses, so DLC that doesn’t appear at the start shows up as you progress.

What you play in Onimusha: Way of the Sword
You play as Miyamoto Musashi, an ardent samurai who arrives in Kyoto to prove that no one matches Musashi in the way of the sword, with a face modeled on the late samurai movie star Toshiro Mifune. The Oni Gauntlet gives Musashi the power to cut down the Genma, fiends from the depths of hell, and to absorb their souls to grow stronger, in an Edo-period capital twisted by clouds of Malice.

The story runs from Kiyomizu-dera Temple to Mount Oe, where Musashi faces Shuten Doji, and pits Musashi against the rival Sasaki Ganryu and the Genma siblings Ifuu and Burai. A story DLC would have plenty of the capital and its legends left to explore.
Is there Onimusha story DLC?
Capcom hasn’t announced one. Its Onimusha posts since launch have celebrated the launch-day sales, and the DLC so far is cosmetic. Expected price for a story DLC: about $19.99, our estimate, the price of each of the game’s kits.

Capcom’s other 2026 games show how its add-ons work: Pragmata’s DLC is cosmetic as well, while Monster Hunter Stories 3 got a $9.99 side story about three months after launch.
Editions, prices and sales
On Steam and the Nintendo US store, the game costs $69.99, the Deluxe Edition $79.99 and the Premium Deluxe Edition $89.99. The full Original Sound Track costs $34.99 on Steam. These were the prices on Oct. 19, 2026.
Capcom moved the launch up from Sept. 25 to Sept. 4 after the demo, turning the digital pre-order bonus into an Early Adopter Bonus that ran until Sept. 25 at 4:59 p.m. PDT. The game sold over 1 million copies worldwide on launch day, Capcom announced on Sept. 8, 2026. How it runs on Nintendo’s console, with its own motion controls, is on our Onimusha: Way of the Sword Switch 2 page.
This page is updated as soon as Capcom announces new Onimusha: Way of the Sword DLC or a story expansion.
