The bar for April to September

From April to September 2025, Capcom posted net sales of ¥81.15 billion, operating profit of ¥39.33 billion and net income of ¥27.51 billion, and sold 23.85 million games. April to June 2026 alone brought ¥41.05 billion in operating profit, so the first half beats 2025 unless July to September posts an operating loss larger than ¥1.72 billion, by our calculation. Net sales need more than ¥10.74 billion from July to September to pass the 2025 half, against ¥35.65 billion in the same months of 2025.

What Capcom released from July to September

The main launch was Onimusha: Way of the Sword on Sept. 4, three weeks earlier than previously scheduled. Capcom says it sold more than 1 million copies on launch day and took the series past 10 million, and its add-ons are on our Onimusha: Way of the Sword DLC page. On Sept. 10, Capcom dated Monster Hunter Wilds for Switch 2 on Dec. 4, as our Monster Hunter Wilds Switch 2 page explains.

Capcom says hitting the forecast means a 10th consecutive year of record profit at every level and a 12th consecutive year of operating profit growth of 10% or more. After April to June, Capcom had 49% of the operating profit target and 37% of the 65 million games, by our calculation.

What to watch on Oct. 27

Three things decide the reaction. Whether Capcom raises the ¥83 billion forecast after a quarter that delivered half of it, how many copies Onimusha: Way of the Sword sold by Sept. 30, and anything Capcom says about the CAPCOM ID breach it disclosed on Oct. 22, covered on our Capcom data breach page. Monster Hunter Outlanders launches two days later, on Oct. 29, as our Monster Hunter Outlanders release date page shows.

This page is updated as soon as Capcom posts its April to September results on Oct. 27.
