Metro 2039 Collector's Edition: a wearable Spartan helmet and the full Deluxe Edition, out Feb. 4, 2027

The biggest edition of Metro 2039 comes with a helmet you can wear. Here’s what’s in the Collector’s Edition, how it compares with the other editions and where to buy it.

What’s in the Metro 2039 Collector’s Edition?

The headline item is a wearable replica Spartan helmet, a full-scale copy of the helmet worn by the Stranger, the game’s hero. Alongside it, Deep Silver lists the game, an exclusive steelbook, a hardback art book, the Story Expansion DLC, a digital art book and the digital soundtrack.

That means the Collector’s Edition includes the full physical Deluxe Edition, plus the Specialist Pack pre-order bonus. The game disc is for PS5 and Xbox Series X and S; the PC version comes as a code in the box.

How much is it, and where can you buy it?

Deep Silver hasn’t published a price for the Collector’s Edition, and it says pricing, availability and release dates may vary by retailer and region. It’s sold in limited quantities through select retailers, and the US retailers on Deep Silver’s list are Amazon and GameStop.

The other editions have prices on the official stores. Steam and the Xbox store list the Standard Edition at $69.99 and the Deluxe Edition at $99.99, and Steam takes 10% off a Deluxe pre-order if you already bought a qualifying digital Metro game.

The Spartan helmet

4A Games showed the helmet for the first time on Aug. 24, 2026. It’s recreated from the in-game 3D model of the Stranger’s helmet, with integrated gas-mask components, custom details, scratches and scuffs, so it looks like it has survived years of trips to the surface. The studio said, “The number of editions will be limited.”

Visitors to Gamescom in Cologne could see it in person at 4A Games' booth that week. The helmet comes only with the Collector’s Edition.

How the editions compare

The Standard Edition is just the game, physical or digital. The digital Deluxe Edition adds the Story Expansion DLC, due in 2027, along with the digital art book and the digital soundtrack. The physical Deluxe Edition adds the exclusive steelbook and the hardback art book on top of that.

Every pre-order, whatever the edition, gets the Specialist Pack: three blueprints that unlock swappable backpack upgrades early. The Equipment Specialist Pouch speeds up crafting, the Chemtech Specialist Pouch helps in radioactive areas with more gas mask filters, and the Munitions Specialist Pouch finds rarer ammunition, though you can equip only one at a time.

When does it come out?

With the game, on Feb. 4, 2027, or Feb. 5 in some territories, including Asia, Australia and New Zealand. Metro 2039 launches on PS5, Xbox Series X and S and PC, through Steam, the Epic Games Store and Xbox on PC, and pre-orders opened on Oct. 13, 2026.

Deep Silver confirmed the date on Sept. 2, 2026, along with a 60 fps Performance Mode with ray tracing on PS5, PS5 Pro and Xbox Series X. Set in Moscow in 2039, the game follows the Stranger into a Metro ruled by a fanatical Spartan called Hunter.
