Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 DLC: Verso's Drafts, the free Thank You update, its new bosses and outfits, and where paid DLC stands

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33’s biggest DLC so far is free: Verso’s Drafts, from the Thank You update of Dec. 11, 2025. Here’s what it added, how to reach it and where a paid expansion stands.

Does Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 have DLC?

Yes, and the biggest piece of it is free. On Dec. 11, 2025, Sandfall Interactive released the Thank You update, Patch 1.5.0, on every platform. Its headline is Verso’s Drafts, a new playable environment that takes the Expedition to a brand-new location with new enemy encounters and surprises.

The only paid add-on is the Deluxe Edition Upgrade at $10.99, which adds cosmetic outfits. Sandfall hasn’t announced a paid story expansion.

What the Thank You update added

Verso’s Drafts is set in the whimsical hideout of a young Verso. It sits on the World Map next to Lumière and opens from Act III, once Esquie has the Underwater ability.

The update also added new boss battles in the Endless Tower, harder variations of iconic bosses from the main game aimed at late-game players, a new costume for each member of the Expedition, new Luminas and weapons, and the Old Key in the final area, so you can collect every journal in a single playthrough. It brought Photo Mode, Lumina Sets for saving up to 50 loadouts, an Abandon Battle option, HUD scaling, controller remapping, FSR 4 support and certification for Steam Deck and ROG Xbox Ally. Seven new languages took the total to 19.

Sandfall announced the update on Oct. 8, 2025, when the game passed 5 million copies sold, as a thank you to players.

Updates since then

Sandfall has kept updating the game for free. Patch 1.5.3 followed on March 17, 2026. On April 24, 2026, the game’s first anniversary, Patch 1.5.5 added anniversary haircuts for the whole party at Gestral Merchants, and Sandfall announced 8 million copies sold. Patch 1.5.6 on June 30 added Arabic text and fixed combat bugs.

The Deluxe Edition Upgrade

The $10.99 Deluxe Edition Upgrade includes the Flowers collection of six outfits and hairstyles inspired by the Flowers of Lumière, six additional Gommage outfit variations, one per playable character, the Clair outfit for Maelle and the Obscur outfit for Gustave, among other cosmetics. On Steam, the standard edition costs $49.99 and the Deluxe Edition $59.99. These were the Steam prices on Oct. 19, 2026.

Clair Obscur left Game Pass on Oct. 15, 2026, as our games leaving Game Pass page explains, so you need to buy it to keep playing.

Is a paid Expedition 33 DLC coming?

Sandfall hasn’t announced a paid story expansion. Its post-launch content has arrived as free updates, and in its October 2025 post the studio said it was looking forward to bringing players more of what it’s working on. Expected price for a story expansion: about $19.99, our estimate. For a 2025 RPG that took the paid route, see our Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 DLC page.

The game launched on April 24, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X and S and PC.

This page is updated as soon as Sandfall announces new Expedition 33 content, a paid expansion or a major update.
