Xbox Series X price in 2026: $799.99 after the August increase, and what every Xbox costs

The Xbox Series X costs $799.99 in the US for the 1TB model with a disc drive, and the all-digital Xbox Series X 1TB Digital Edition costs $749.99, according to Microsoft's US store as of Oct. 18, 2026. The Xbox Series S costs $499.99 with 512GB and $599.99 with 1TB. Those prices took effect on Aug. 1, 2026, when Microsoft raised console prices worldwide by $100 for 512GB models and $150 for 1TB models and dropped the 2TB Series X. It was the second US increase in less than a year, after a rise of $20 to $70 in October 2025, and Microsoft blamed memory and storage costs that have more than doubled. The Series X launched at $499 in November 2020. The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition, a numbered anniversary console, arrives Nov. 13 at $899.99.

Microsoft still calls the Series S the cheapest way to play this year’s biggest games on an Xbox console, from Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 to GTA 6; our GTA 6 on Xbox page explains how it runs on each console.
