The $899.99 Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition ships Nov. 13 with a translucent case, an engraved number and Halo

Xbox’s 25th anniversary console arrives on Nov. 13 in see-through green, with a numbered engraving, the X25 controller and Halo in the box, for $899.99. Here’s what it costs where you live, what you get and how it compares with a regular Series X.

When does the Xbox Series X25 come out?

Friday, Nov. 13, 2026. Xbox revealed the console at the Xbox Games Showcase on June 7 and opened pre-orders to everyone in select markets on Aug. 27 at 7 a.m. PT, a day after emailed invitations went out to some fans. Pre-orders sold out within minutes, and Microsoft’s US, UK, Canadian, German, French, Japanese and Australian stores showed no pre-order stock on Oct. 29.

Pre-orders were limited to one per customer, through the Microsoft Store and participating retailers, while supplies last.

How much is the Xbox Series X25?

In the US, that’s $100 more than the standard 1TB Xbox Series X with a disc drive at $799.99. For the extra money, the controller in the box becomes the X25 Special Edition controller, which costs $79.99 on its own, and you get Halo: Campaign Evolved, a $49.99 game, plus the translucent case and engraving. It costs the same as the $899.99 PS5 Pro.

What’s in the box

• The Xbox Series X25 Limited Edition console: a 1TB Xbox Series X with a disc drive, individually numbered with a unique engraving;
• the Xbox Wireless Controller X25 Special Edition in translucent OG Green;
• a full-game download of Halo: Campaign Evolved, the remake of the first Halo campaign, delivered to the console during setup without a code.

The case is the first translucent design for the Xbox Series X, inspired by the original Xbox and its OG Green. The X logo lights up green when you power on the console, a nod to the original Xbox startup, and the front carries the Xbox 25th Anniversary logo. Xbox also promises a few hidden surprises in the hardware for fans to find.

Xbox says the X25 has the same power and performance as the standard Xbox Series X.

Will the X25 be restocked, and should you wait for Black Friday?

Microsoft hasn’t said how many numbered consoles it made, and the X25 sold out at Microsoft’s store within minutes of general pre-orders on Aug. 27. Xbox hasn’t announced a restock, so watch participating retailers before the Nov. 13 launch. Our Xbox Black Friday 2026 page tracks deals, and a Black Friday price cut on a limited edition launching two weeks earlier isn’t in the cards.

If you’re weighing the X25 against the next generation, Microsoft has confirmed Project Helix; our Xbox Helix page has what’s known.

This page is updated as soon as Microsoft changes the X25 price, a store restocks it or Xbox posts launch details.
