Terraria 1.4.5.7 console release date: the update reached Xbox, PlayStation and mobile on Sept. 3, 2026, and Switch on Sept. 8, bundled into 1.4.5.8
Terraria 1.4.5.7 is out on consoles and mobile. Re-Logic released it on PC on Aug. 19, 2026, and its content reached Xbox, PlayStation and mobile on Sept. 3, 2026, and Nintendo Switch on Sept. 8, as part of the 1.4.5.8 update, which brought those versions in line with PC. A follow-up patch, 1.4.5.8.1, came out on Sept. 17 on Xbox, PlayStation and mobile and on Sept. 22 on Switch. The next update, 1.4.6, is crossplay.
Console and mobile players don’t have to wait for Terraria 1.4.5.7 anymore. Here’s when it arrived on each platform and what comes next.
When did Terraria 1.4.5.7 come out on console?
On Sept. 3, 2026, on Xbox and PlayStation, and on Sept. 8, 2026, on Nintendo Switch. Mobile got it on Sept. 3 as well. Consoles and mobile didn’t get a separate 1.4.5.7 release: the content came in their 1.4.5.8 update, which DR Studios, the team behind the console and mobile versions, described as syncing them with 1.4.5.7 and 1.4.5.8 on PC. It also fixed crashes on Xbox, a PlayStation bug that reset large world maps and visual problems in split screen.
A smaller patch, 1.4.5.8.1, followed on Sept. 17 on Xbox, PlayStation and mobile and on Sept. 22 on Switch. It fixed players being unable to reconnect after a network drop, made treasure bags drop for the host in multiplayer and addressed some framerate stalls and crashes.
When did it come out on PC?
Re-Logic released 1.4.5.7 on PC on Aug. 19, 2026, calling it the last planned hotfix for the Bigger and Boulder update, barring critical fixes. The plan had been to release it on PC, console and mobile at the same time, but with the team heading to Gamescom the following week, Re-Logic put out the PC version first and sent the console and mobile builds into platform review right away. A PC hotfix, 1.4.5.8, followed on Aug. 23.
1.4.5.7 focused on balance. It added more than 30 new items, from the Daybloom Staff to the Phoenix Quiver, completely reworked gem staves so that each gem adds its own effect, and added the Guide to Old Style Parkour, which brings back some movement techniques removed in 1.4.5.
What was the 1.4.5 update?
Terraria 1.4.5, Bigger and Boulder, came out on Jan. 27, 2026, on PC, console and mobile on the same day, with the bespoke China mobile version following later. Re-Logic announced the date on Jan. 14, 2026. The hotfixes since then, ending with 1.4.5.7 and 1.4.5.8, have been about balance and bugs. On Steam, Terraria costs $9.99.
What comes after 1.4.5.8?
Terraria 1.4.6, the first phase of crossplay. Re-Logic said in August that it would move straight to 1.4.6 once 1.4.5.7 was out and stable on console and mobile, and in its Sept. 24, 2026, update it said the finishing touches were being put on Crossplay Phase One.
