Remothered: Red Nun's Legacy release date: Oct. 27 on PS5, Xbox and PC, and Dec. 3 on Switch 2

The Remothered trilogy ends on Oct. 27, and this time the Red Nun waits in Sicily. Here’s when Red Nun’s Legacy comes out, what it costs and what’s in it.

When does Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy come out?

Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, on PS5, Xbox Series X and S and PC through Steam, the Epic Games Store and GOG. Stormind Games announced the date on Aug. 17 and repeated it in its third developer diary on Oct. 22, along with the Switch 2 date, Thursday, Dec. 3. Stormind develops the game and publishes it with Soft Source.

Remothered: Red Nun’s Legacy release time

The PlayStation Store lists the PS5 version at 14:00 UTC on Oct. 27 in the US, the UK and Germany. Stormind hasn’t announced the hour for PC and Xbox.

Europe moves its clocks back on Oct. 25, two days before launch, so the London and Berlin times above already use winter time.

Price and editions

The Digital Deluxe Edition costs €39.99. It adds a digital artbook of about 100 pages and the digital soundtrack, 25 tracks and more than an hour of music by Akira Yamaoka, the composer of Silent Hill, with Aram Shahbazians. The US Nintendo eShop lists the Switch 2 standard edition at $29.99. Expected price: about $29.99 for the standard edition and about $39.99 for the Deluxe Edition on PS5, Xbox and PC, our estimate, since those stores haven’t posted prices yet.

The physical Deluxe Edition adds a disc and a reversible cover sheet. It arrives on PS5 in Europe, the Middle East and Africa on Oct. 27 and on Switch 2 on Dec. 3, and Maximum Entertainment distributes it in North America on a date still to be announced.

Story: Susan, the Red Nun and Mount Etna

More than a year after six young girls vanished in Sicily, a recording gives Susan Harper new hope that Agata, the daughter who vanished, is still alive. Susan follows the trail to Villa Ashmann, a decaying noble residence on the slopes of Mount Etna, and down to Cristo Morente, the convent where the myth of the Red Nun began. Rosemary Reed, the heroine of Tormented Fathers, arrives at the villa looking for answers too.

Stormind calls it the trilogy’s final chapter, after Tormented Fathers in 2018 and Broken Porcelain in 2020, and says it closes the Red Nun’s story. Cissy Jones voices Susan, and Maggie Robertson voices the Red Nun.

How it plays

Red Nun’s Legacy is a third-person survival horror game built in Unreal Engine 5. Stalkers roam the villa, and Susan hides, evades and fights back only at critical moments. New hypnosis powers change how the house is explored: retrocognition reveals echoes of the past in objects, mirrors hide secrets, and Susan can steer moths. A demo from Steam Next Fest is still on the Steam page, and the game passed 100,000 Steam wishlists in September.
