New Batman Arkham game: not announced, but Warner Bros. calls Batman a priority
There's no new Batman Arkham game announced, so there's no release date, title or platform list. Rocksteady's last Arkham game, Batman: Arkham Knight, came out on June 23, 2015, and the studio's newest release is Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League from February 2024. Warner Bros. Discovery has told shareholders that its games business is focused on four franchises, including DC and Batman in particular.
Fans keep asking for another Arkham game, and Warner Bros. hasn’t announced one. Here’s what’s official about Batman’s next game, what Warner Bros. has told investors and what you can play now.
Is a new Batman Arkham game announced?
No. Warner Bros. Games and Rocksteady Studios haven’t announced a new Batman Arkham game, so there’s no title, release date, trailer or platform list.
Rocksteady’s website still lists Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, released on Feb. 2, 2024, as its newest game. Reports about a new Rocksteady Batman game come up regularly, and Warner Bros. Games hasn’t confirmed any of them.
What Warner Bros. has said about Batman
The clearest official signal is in Warner Bros. Discovery’s shareholder letter of Feb. 27, 2025. After a disappointing 2024 for its games business, the company said it was refocusing on four tentpole franchises that had each generated more than $1 billion in consumer sales: Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, Mortal Kombat and DC, “particularly top tier characters like Batman.”
The first releases under that plan came in the second quarter of 2026. In its letter of Aug. 6, 2026, Warner Bros. Discovery named LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, which it called the highest rated LEGO game ever, along with a Game of Thrones mobile game. The same letter said the games pipeline is expanding and named the second Hogwarts Legacy game, but it didn’t name a new Batman title.
The latest Batman games
The last Arkham game from Rocksteady is Batman: Arkham Knight, released on June 23, 2015. Since then, the Arkham name has returned once: Batman: Arkham Shadow, a virtual reality game by Camouflaj, came out in October 2024 exclusively on Meta Quest 3 and 3S, at $49.99.
The newest Batman game is LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight, from TT Games, which Steam lists as out since May 22, 2026, at a list price of $69.99. It isn’t part of the Arkham series, but it’s the Batman game Warner Bros. is backing right now.
Can you play the Arkham games now?
Yes. On Steam, Batman: Arkham Asylum and Batman: Arkham City, both in Game of the Year editions, and Batman: Arkham Knight each have a list price of $19.99, and all three show up often in Warner Bros. sales. Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League lists at $69.99 and added an offline mode with its fourth season in December 2024.
