Borderlands 4 DLC release date: every Story Pack, Bounty Pack and new Vault Hunter, from C4SH to Loveless, with prices

Borderlands 4 has two Story Packs, five Bounty Packs and two new Vault Hunters, and the latest batch arrived on Sept. 10. Here’s every DLC release date, what each pack adds and the cheapest way to buy it all.

What’s the newest Borderlands 4 DLC?

Three paid packs launched together on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2026, alongside the free Version 1.10 update. Story Pack 2: FL4K and the Last Resort costs $19.99, the new Vault Hunter Loveless the Hacker costs $9.99, and Bounty Pack 5: Amara and the Vile Shadows costs $5.99, with its Vault Card 5 another $5.99.

Those releases finish both DLC lines Gearbox planned at launch. Gearbox calls Bounty Pack 5 the fifth of five post-launch Bounty Packs, and the Vault Hunter Pack was always two Story Packs. Gearbox hasn’t announced anything beyond them.

Every Borderlands 4 DLC release date

Borderlands 4 launched on Sept. 11, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series X and S and PC. The DLC followed in this order:

Bounty Pack 1: How Rush Saved Mercenary Day arrived free for every player on Nov. 20, 2025. Bounty Pack 2: Legend of the Stone Demon followed on Feb. 26, 2026, as the first paid content, and introduced Pearlescent gear, a rarity above Legendary. Story Pack 1: Mad Ellie and the Vault of the Damned and the first new Vault Hunter, C4SH the Rogue, launched on March 26.

Bounty Pack 3: A Zane to Kill For came on June 25, Bounty Pack 4: Murders and Acquisitions on July 30, and Story Pack 2, Loveless and Bounty Pack 5 on Sept. 10.

The two Story Packs and the new Vault Hunters

Story Pack 1 sends you to The Whispering Glacier, a frozen wasteland of derelict ships, with Ellie, Moxxi’s daughter, on a cosmic horror quest into the Vault of the Damned. It has two major boss fights, 16 minibosses, three Pearlescent weapons, 18 new Legendary items and 31 cosmetics. C4SH, a casino robot who won a cursed deck of cards, plays on luck: Sleight of Hand draws a random destructive spell, and Cleromancy summons a Bone Totem with effects set by a dice roll.

Story Pack 2 moves to Providence, a jungle island resort with a volcano, where you team up with FL4K to rescue the skag Mr. Chew and fight the Tediore invasion force led by Lt. Harmony. It has eight story bosses, 13 minibosses, two Pearlescent weapons, 18 Legendary items, six Legendary Class Mods and ziplines above the treetops. Loveless, a former Anshin hacker turned assassin, shares a mind with a digital virus that can take a physical Wyrm form, and fights with Corrosive and Radiation damage.

Each Vault Hunter is playable across the whole game, not only the DLC zones.

Bounty Packs 1 to 5

Bounty Packs are smaller: each adds one repeatable mission with a new boss, minibosses, a Pearlescent weapon and Legendary loot, and a Vault Card that unlocks cosmetics and gear as you play. Since Sept. 10, every paid Bounty Pack is sold in two parts, the mission for $5.99 and the Vault Card for $5.99.

Bounty Pack 1 is a holiday mission with Rush. Bounty Pack 2 takes Calder into the Stone Demon’s mines, Bounty Pack 3 is a neon noir murder mystery inside an arcade machine with Zane, Bounty Pack 4 sends Levaine to the Toxic Scowl to settle a Ripper feud, and Bounty Pack 5 follows Amara into an old Vile Lictor lab, with the Vile Test Chamber boss rush.

Prices, bundles and editions

On Steam, the Vault Hunter Pack costs $49.99 and includes both Story Packs, both Vault Hunters and the Ornate Order Pack. The Bounty Pack Bundle costs $39.99 and covers Bounty Packs 2 to 5. Together they cost $89.98, against $107.88 for every paid piece bought separately.

If you don’t own the game yet, the Super Deluxe Edition at $129.99 includes Borderlands 4 and all of the DLC above, while the Deluxe Edition at $99.99 includes the Bounty Pack Bundle. The standard edition costs $69.99. These were the Steam prices on Oct. 19, 2026.

Free updates alongside the DLC

Gearbox has paired the paid packs with free content. The first raid boss, Bloomreaper, arrived on Dec. 11, 2025, Photo Mode on Jan. 29, 2026, and the second raid boss, Subjugator and Thol the Invincible, on May 28. On June 25, the Takedown at Hadron Abyss raid, the return of Circle of Slaughter and cross-platform saves arrived for everyone.

The level cap rose from 50 to 60 with Story Pack 1 and to 70 on Sept. 10. Gearbox also rotates a Weekly Big Encore Boss, a Weekly Wildcard Mission and Maurice’s Black Market Vending Machine every Thursday.

Gearbox hasn’t announced a third Story Pack or a sixth Bounty Pack. Expected price for any new Story Pack: about $19.99, our estimate, the price of the first two. Gearbox published its 2026 roadmap on Jan. 29, 2026, and its next roadmap is the place a new pack would appear.
