Maneater 2 comes out later in 2027 on PS5 and PC. Tripwire Interactive revealed the sequel at PlayStation's State of Play on Sept. 3, 2026, and Steam lists it for 2027, without a month or a day. As of Oct. 17, 2026, there's no price and no pre-orders, and PC requirements are still listed as coming soon. Tripwire and Demiurge Studios are making the game, which puts you in control of a man-eating bull shark trying to escape Neptune's Kingdom, a luxury island theme park styled after Ancient Rome. Trip Westhaven, voiced by Chris Parnell, returns as the narrator, and it's the first Maneater built on Unreal Engine 5.

What is Maneater 2 about?
You’re a man-eating bull shark swimming loose inside Neptune’s Kingdom, an ultra-luxury private island theme park, during an invite-only preview event. The park mixes the excess of Las Vegas with an Ancient Rome theme, and its CEO, Victor Reardon, has pushed bioengineering so far that the tropical waters now hold arctic and volcanic biomes, along with mutated creatures such as giant crabs.
The goal is to eat, explore and evolve your way to freedom. Tripwire describes an open world full of thrill rides, snack bars and secrets in the depths, with highly evolved apex predators and armed security trying to stop you, and the shark can exploit the park’s genetic experiments to grow more powerful.
Who is making it?
Tripwire Interactive and Demiurge Studios develop the game, and Tripwire publishes it. Chris Parnell returns as Trip Westhaven, the disgraced reality TV host who narrates the shark’s progress, and Maneater 2 is the first game in the series built on Unreal Engine 5, with sunlight that diffuses through the water and richer underwater ecosystems.
