Final Fantasy Resonance pre-order bonus: your items wait in the postbox outside the inn in Mitra, and the early purchase bonus runs to Nov. 5
Final Fantasy Resonance hands out its pre-order, early purchase and Digital Deluxe items inside the game. After you progress past a certain point in the story, you claim them from the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra, according to Square Enix's store listings. On digital stores, the pre-order bonus, the Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack, went only to players who pre-ordered before the Oct. 22 launch, while the Square Enix Store still includes it on all orders placed before Nov. 6. Anyone who buys by Thursday, Nov. 5, still gets the Squire Kickstart Pack: the deadline is 11:59 p.m. local time on PS5 and Xbox, 11:59 p.m. PT on Switch and Switch 2, and 8:59 a.m. PT on Friday, Nov. 6, on Steam.

Final Fantasy Resonance puts every bonus item in one postbox. Here’s how to claim it, what each pack has and how long the early purchase bonus lasts.
How to get your Final Fantasy Resonance bonus items
Bonus items don’t arrive the moment you start. Square Enix’s listings say that after you progress past a certain point in the game, you claim them from the postbox in front of the inn in the Town of Mitra. That covers the pre-order pack, the early purchase pack and the Digital Deluxe pack alike, on every platform.
Two of the items change how things look. To ride the magitek airship, open the main menu, go to Items and switch the Magitek Airship Passkey to ON. The Digital Deluxe Magitek Armor Key works the same way and dresses your chocobo in magitek armor.
What’s in the pre-order bonus
The Magitek Airship & Squire Starter Pack went to everyone who pre-ordered before launch on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2026. It contains:
- Magitek Airship PasskeyWhich turns your airship into a magitek vessel
- Knight’s Greatsword
- Chestplate of PreparationWhich raises the EXP you earn in battle
- Magicite Shard
- TentX3
- Mist PotionX3
On digital stores, Square Enix made the pack available only to customers who pre-ordered, so a digital purchase after release doesn’t include it. The exception is the Square Enix Store: it still includes the pack, along with the Squire Kickstart Pack, on all orders placed before Nov. 6, 2026, and that covers the physical Standard Edition and the $209.99 Collector’s Edition. Pre-orders opened on June 9, 2026, and our Final Fantasy Resonance release date page covers the launch.
Early purchase bonus: buy by Nov. 5
Players who missed the pre-order still get a bonus. The Squire Kickstart Pack has a Blessed Cuirass, which increases the gil you earn, and a Mist Ether. The deadline depends on the store:
- PS5 and Xbox11:59 p.m. local time, Thursday, Nov. 5, 2026
- Switch and Switch 211:59 p.m. PT, Nov. 5, which is 2:59 a.m. ET on Nov. 6
- Steam8:59 a.m. PT, Friday, Nov. 6, which is 11:59 a.m. ET
The pack lands in the same postbox in Mitra.
Digital Deluxe Edition and the $14.99 upgrade
The Digital Deluxe Edition costs $59.99, $10 more than the $49.99 standard game. Its Magitek & Grimoire Deluxe Pack contains a Magitek Armor Key, the Archwitch’s Grimoire, an item exclusive to the pack that unlocks the Fel Meteor Limit Burst for one character, a Mastery Ring, five Tents, five Mist Potions, five Mist Ethers, five Phoenix Downs and three Remedies.
Standard owners can add the pack later with the Digital Deluxe Upgrade, which costs $14.99 on PS5, Xbox, Steam, Switch and Switch 2. The $209.99 Collector’s Edition from the Square Enix Store includes a Digital Deluxe upgrade code.
Switch and Switch 2: pick the right version
On Nintendo’s eShop, Final Fantasy Resonance has separate Switch and Switch 2 versions at $49.99 each. Square Enix says there are no plans for an upgrade pack from Switch to Switch 2, and save data doesn’t carry over between them, so choose before you buy. PC players can check our Final Fantasy Resonance Steam Deck page, and the 26 Visions are on our Final Fantasy Resonance characters page.
