Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 release date: 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 launches in 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Bandai Namco revealed it on April 19, 2026, at its Dragon Ball Games Battle Hour event, and hasn’t named a day or a month since. The game moves the series to AGE 1000, a future Dragon Ball world centered on West City.

When does Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 come out?

In 2027. That’s the window Bandai Namco gave when it revealed the game, and its official game page and the Steam page still list 2027 with no exact date. Since the reveal, Bandai Namco has released new trailers and gameplay and brought a playable demo to gamescom in Cologne in late August, but it hasn’t announced a price, editions or pre-orders.

Platforms: PS5, Xbox and PC

Xenoverse 3 is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam. Bandai Namco hasn’t announced versions for Switch 2, the original Switch, PS4 or Xbox One. On Steam, PC system requirements are still listed as to be announced.

Story: AGE 1000 and West City

Xenoverse 3 jumps ahead to AGE 1000, a new future of the Dragon Ball world with original characters by Akira Toriyama. West City has grown into a huge, busy hub where you walk around, meet characters, take on quests and see other players online, with cafés, plazas, apartments and West City University.

You join the Great Saiya Squad and fight alongside familiar and new allies as mysterious events begin to unfold. The June trailer introduced Bulma and Gamma 1, plus new characters Brett, Lilica, ROM and Tap.

Races, mentors and Soul Switch

You create your own hero from six races: Earthling, Saiyan, Namekian, Frieza Race, Majin and the new Android. You can pick a fighting style based on the movement and abilities of 130 heroes.

Bandai Namco changed Awoken Skills after fan feedback from events: they no longer have a time limit and are tied to your Ki instead. Ki is used for attacking and defending, and if it runs out, you’re left defenseless against enemy attacks.

Online co-op

You can play solo or go online and team up with up to three other players for shared challenges. The gamescom demo showed a team mission in a glacier area, fighting Frieza Force soldiers and robots before a boss battle against Broly.

Xenoverse 2’s final DLC

Xenoverse 2 came out in October 2016 and is on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. Its last DLC, Future Saga Chapter 4, came out on Steam on July 7, 2026, for $11.99.
