Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 turns 10 with a free update on Oct. 27 and a festival that pays out in Xenoverse 3
Bandai Namco is closing out a decade of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 with two events. A free 10th anniversary update arrives on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, with new login bonus rewards, special costumes and an expanded Gallery of Time. From Friday, Oct. 30, the Final Festival of Universes raises Star Coin rewards to 25 times the usual amount, brings back hard-to-find items and hands out festival uniforms and medals that unlock costumes and acrylic figures in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3 in 2027. Bandai Namco announced both on Oct. 25 with a trailer. The update is free on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Switch and PC. Expected launch time: 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT) on Oct. 27, our estimate, the hour the last two paid packs went live on Steam.

Ten years after launch, Xenoverse 2 gets one last party. Here’s what the free Oct. 27 update adds, how the Final Festival of Universes works and which rewards follow you into Xenoverse 3.
When does the Xenoverse 2 anniversary update come out?
Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2026, on every platform. Bandai Namco hasn’t given an hour. Expected launch time: 6 p.m. ET (3 p.m. PT), our estimate. Future Saga Chapters 3 and 4 both arrived on the date Steam lists for them, and when we checked at 8:30 p.m. ET on Oct. 26, the public Steam build of Xenoverse 2 hadn’t changed since Aug. 6.

The update is a free download on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X and S, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
What the free update adds. Three things, according to Bandai Namco: new login bonus rewards, special costumes and an update to the Gallery of Time. Bandai Namco ties only the Gallery of Time part to paid content; the login bonus and costumes come with the free update. The new Gallery of Time content sits behind Future Saga Chapter 4, the final paid pack, which came out on Steam on July 7, 2026.
Bandai Namco hasn’t listed the costumes or the login rewards one by one; the patch notes arrive with the update.
The Final Festival of Universes. The festival starts on Friday, Oct. 30, and Bandai Namco calls it the final one. It has four parts:

This is the part longtime players care about. Festival rewards unlock items in Dragon Ball Xenoverse 3, which Bandai Namco has set for 2027 on PS5, Xbox Series X and S and PC:

To claim them, pick Upload Link Data on the Xenoverse 2 main menu, scan the QR code and link the save to a free Bandai Namco ID. The platforms don’t have to match, and there’s no deadline for the upload. Each reward can be redeemed once, the upload can be repeated as often as you like, and you need the full versions of both games. Bandai Namco will explain redemption closer to the Xenoverse 3 launch.
